So, you wanted to know a bit about me. Well, I'll give it to ya nice and easy. My name is Tayla Shale. I'm 23 years old, and I live in Canada, though I lived most of my life in Arizona. I have medium length hair, color of which is subject to weekly change, and blue eyes. I've been married for over three years now to my wonderful husband (coincidentally, his name is Dave too), who tolerates this somewhat juvenile crush with great humour, for which I love him dearly. He has the hots for Cameron Diaz, so why shouldn't I have my fun too? Because yes, I've been mad for Dave Grohl since I was 14 or 15 years old and first saw the "Smells Like Teen Spirit" video on MTV. It was like an epiphany. "Look at the drummer," I said to my friends. But since they were all into stuff like Paula Abdul and C + C Music Factory, the moment was lost on them. Meanwhile the music of Nirvana touched a cord in my youthful heart, and I became a diehard fan, grabbing up all the CDs, singles, videos, posters, and T-shirts that I could. (Oddly enough, my favorite Nirvana album is Bleach, which Dave doesn't even play on.) My mother forbade me to go to the concert in a nearby town, citing the dangers of the moshpit. It was my only chance to see them live, and I missed it. Then Kurt, and therefore Nirvana, were gone. Dave disappeared from the spotlight, and I was left without my fix for a couple years.

Enter the Foo Fighters, Dave's all-new and all-cool band. I was in heaven. The music wasn't the same as Nirvana's, but I liked it all the same, though in a different sort of way. And Dave looked good. He looked fuckin' hot. And after awhile, I thought, "Hey, wouldn't it be funny if I made a webpage saying that he and I were having a secret affair?" Emphasis on the word funny. As in, I'm not really serious here, kids. It's just my sense of humour at work.

Anyway, I finally got to see the Foo Fighters live in concert, July 9th, 1998, as they played a Canada-only tour called Edgefest. Other bands on the lineup included Green Day, Matthew Good Band, Creed, and a bunch of Canadian bands you've probably never heard of, but kick ass in a serious way. Two stages, 12 hours, 14 bands. It was 90 degrees, and they had to water us down with fire hoses. It was the best show I've ever been to.

I have other interests besides Dave Grohl, though music is a big part of my life and right now I'm attending school to become a radio broadcaster. I like racing my car, kickboxing (I used to teach it), reading anything by Anne Rice, traveling, running and cooking. I have two cats. No kids yet, but come on. I'm only 23. I'm also really big into my Irish heritage. I love the stories of the ancient Celtic people that used to live there, and a few years ago, I visited Ireland for the first time. It was awesome.
So that's me. Not all of me, but about as much as I'm willing to share with a bunch of strangers. I hope you like my page, I really do. Just keep in mind that it's all a joke to me. I'm not some kitey delusional monster, stalking celebrities. And I know some of you think it's weird that I do this. What can I say? Start dealing.
