Tietomaa

The day after we visited Kokkola, Anna, Christiane, Brenda, and I decided to visit Tietomaa, Oulu's science museum. We liked it so much that I took Lindsey back with me for a second visit in December.
The theme currently running at Tietomaa was Ancient Egypt. There were various displays and stations on Ancient Egyptian culture, language, and even clothing. Here, Anna is dressed as a royal princess, and Christiane is a commoner.
We found a bed of nails in one corner of the museum and monopolized it for quite a while. It was cool. Here is Anna.
Here I am. It really wasn't as uncomfortable as it looks.
And here is Lindsey. I think she enjoyed it most of all. Just in case you were wondering how we all got up there... The nails pop in and out of the bed. You lie down on the nail-free bed and have a friend push the pedal that brings the nails up. If your friend would like to be rid of you for the day, he or she can run away before bringing the nails back down.
This is me next to a model of the tallest man ever recorded. Included in this section of the museum was an exhibit for the tallest Finnish man ever recorded and the Finnish woman with the most children recorded (26, I think).
