The Story: Jenny, the police officer, is warning Viridian City about Pokemon theives with her intercom system as the story begins. After she finishes speaking, she sees Ash running over a hill with Pikachu in his arms. Jenny immediately suspects hinms of stealing it and grabs him as he goes by. Ash says that it's his Pikachu and he needs to take it to the Pokemon center. Jenny asks for an ID, but Ash says he doesn't have one. Then she spots his Pokedex and explains that it is his ID. She then agrees to the Ash to the Pokemon center on her motorcycle. They take off and when the smoke clears, Misty is in the smoke holding her wrecked bike, trying to catch up with Ash. She chases them and up above, there's a Meowth balloon. Inside are three notorious members of Team Rocket, and evil organization trying to catch rare and/or unusual pokemon in an attempt to take over the world. That explains why they are here, to ransack the city of its special pokemon. Back to Ash and Jenny, they are almost to the center. She jumps the motorcycle over the stairs, skids inside and right next to the front desk. Joy, the nurse, is a little irked at them, but Ash tell her that it's an emergency. Joy calls for a stretcher and 3 Chanseys come up with it. They place Pikachu on it and the Chanseys take it away to the Critical Care unit. Ash wants to help, but Joy says she can handle it. Then Jenny leaves, and Ash goes to the waiting room. Ash is in the waiting room and a Pidgey clock says it is 8 'o clock. Ash sees some videophones across the room and decides to call home. Ash has a brief chat with his mom, the he gets up and sees a carving on the wall that looks just like the mysterious flying pokemon he saw in the last episode. Then the Center phone rings. He answers it and it is Professor Oak. Ash tells him that he doesn't have any new pokemon yet, but he did see that flying pokemon that is on the wall. Professot Oak says that it was impossible and that he was mistaken because trainers have never seen it. Then Professor Oak's doorbell rings, he says that it is his pizza, wishes Ash good luck, and leaves to enjoy his anchovy, spinach, and pineapple pizza. (He sure has some weird tastes.) Then Misty, finally finding him, tells him off about wrecking her bike. Ash says he'll pay for the bike as soon as he can, but now his Pikachu isn't doind to well. Just then, Joy and some Chanseys come out with a stretcher with Pikachu on it. Pikachu is wearing some light-bulb helmet. Joy says that he's just resting and that they should both go into the Recovery room. Misty says to Ash that she'll wait until Pikachu heals then, they'll settle things later. Then an alarm goes off and Jenny, over the loudspeaker, warns about an aircraft that belongs to Team Rocket. Jesse, James, and Meowth, who are now right over the Pokemon Center, hear it and Jesse and James throw their pokeballs into a window of the Center. The pokeball open to reveal Koffing and Ekans. Koffing spreads arouns some smog and Ash is wondering who and what are they. Then the silhouettes of Jesse and James can be seen through the smog. They both say their stupid little motto. Ash is a little confused, so they say that they are after rare and unusual pokemon. Jenny says you won't find any here, but Jesse says she won't be surprised if they find some good ones. They tell their pokemon to attack and Ash, Misty, Joy with Pikachu run into a pokemon holding place. The lights go out, but Joy says that they have their own "pika-power source." A whole bunch of Pikachus are running on a contraption that obviously makes electricity. Then Joy alerts the Pewter City Pokemon Center and transports their pokemon to the Pewter City Center. Just then Team Rocket bursts through the door, spilling pokeballs all over the place. Joy tells Ash and Misty to get them, but the Misty says that they need to throw the pokeball to fight Team Rocket off. However, that plan fails so Missty uses her pokemon. She throws one and a Goldeen pops out. It just sits there and flops around. Misty calls it back and says that she's just getting warmed-up. She tells Ash to escape and Ash takes Pikachu with him, still in the stretcher. Ekans and Koffing are hot on their heels. Then Ash bumps into Misty's bike which wakes Pikachu up. Pikachu calls for help and a whole bunch of Pikachus pop up from behind a wall and they all gather around Ash's Pikachu, still in the strecher. Jesse and James come up and all the Pikachus do a super Thundershock. Then Ash's Pikachu gets on top of the pack fully recovered. Meowth jumps in and says that mouse is cat food. The Pikachu tells Ash that he wants more power, so Ash jumps on the bike and starts pedaling making one of the lights on the bike shine bright. Pikachu jumps on the light gathers electricity with the wires on the helmet, and really gives Team Rocket a jolt. Then the electricity touches Koffing's smog, which causes a huge explosion. Officer Jenny drives up, but says that she's too late, but not for the fireworks. There's a huge column of smoke coming from the center. Team Rocket is holding on a rope hanging from the Meowth balloon. There they decide that Pikachu was so powerful, that they should try to capture him. Just then, the balloon pops and they go flying off. Back at the totaled Pokemon Center, Joy and Jenny is talking to another Joy in Pewter City who looks just like the one here. The Pewter City Joy says that all the pokeballs were transported safely. The Joy here says that Ash, Pikachu, and Misty are headed there, to Pewter City. Joy isn't sure if they are going to make it through the Viridian Forest, but Jenny says they'll be ok. In the forest, Ash and the others are walking along when Misty yells and points to a Caterpie. Ash says it's just a bug pokemon, but Misty HATES bugs. Ash tries to capture it anyway. He throws the pokeball and that's where the episode ends.
