What is DBZ? Dragonball Z (DBZ) is the continuation of Dragonball, the humorous story of Goku's childhood, gone serious. I takes place about 5 years after the last episode of Dragonball where Goku now has a son named Gohan. The series starts when Goku's big brother comes to earth and tells him his true origin. He is actually one of the only remaining Saiyans, a superior race. Not wanting to hear it him and Piccolo team up and defeat Ratitze. However a new threat is coming, Vegeta and Nappa, the only other two Saiyans alive. That is where the series takes off. Each character discovers new powers and abilities as they go along. What's with the blond hair? The blond/gold hair is one of the attributes of a Super Sai-Jin. For more information, check out my How They Became SSJs Section. Who is Gohan? Gohan is Goku's first son. The mix between a human and a saiyan creates a supreme warrior. Gohan might possibly be the most powerful character in the series. The is first shown when Gohan's power level goes from 1 to about 1300 when he sees his dad getting hurt. Who is Goten? Goten is Goku's second son. He too is a powerful warrior and becomes SSJ at a very young age. He is best friends with Trunks. Who is Trunks? Son of Vegeta and Bulma, Trunks is a favorite of the fans. He first appeared as an adult from the future. Later though, the future was corrected and he went away. ChibiTrunks, the true Trunks, is raised with Goten and they become best of friends. ChibiTrunks also achieves SSJ at a very young age. Who is Gogeta/Vegeto? Gogeta is Vegeta and Goku fused with the fusion dance. This lasts for about 30 minutes. When they are SSJ4, it lasts about 20. Vegeto it Vegeta and Goku fused with the fusion ear-rings. Although as permanant fusion, it is broken when Buu eats Vegeto. Why did Toonami stop showing the episodes? They didn't!
