About Me So, want to learn a bit more about me eh? My name is Sacha and I’m 17. I'm born in February under the Pisces sign. Its a water sign and it basically means I'm very creative I live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world- Melbourne, Australia. I moved here January of 2001. Before that I was born and grew up in Armidale, NSW South Wales. I have amazing parents- Carolina and Ian and a 20 year old brother called Myles. I have lots of cousins and aunts and uncles. My dad works in his own practice as a chartered accountant. He's also a business consultant. My brother works for an automotive intelligence agency- to put that into words if you ever see a TV advertisement with 'Best Selling Car in Australia' look for the fine print and it'll say VFACTS, that's what he does. My mum hasn't worked since we moved to Melbourne but had been a full time carer for me while I'm sick. We hope to get a marketing business off the ground soon. I suffer from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Myalgic Encephalopathy, and a few other problems. You can learn more about more by clicking here. This means I don’t go to school (I would be in Yr 12 now if I was attending school). I tried correspondence schooling but quit Easter 2001 as the workload was too tough. I volunteer once or twice a week looking after kids ranging in age from 12 months to 4.5years at a local community house. I love to dance. I started off with a lady called Mrs. Herbert when I was tiny then in 1991 I went to 'Australian Dance Enterprises of New England' and danced there until we moved to Melbourne. We held an annual performance where we'd dance out a story (normally a Disney classic such as The Little Mermaid) and then in the second half dance to popular tunes. It was so much fun doing the full makeup and costumes and rehearsals and getting such an incredible adrenalin rush. I just missed out on being with the company for 10 years. When we moved to Melbourne I did a tap course at the College of Adult Education and when I'm better I'd love to dance at a place called 'The Space' in Richmond. My favourite AFL team is the Richmond Tigers and my favourite players are Steven Sziller and Matthew Richardson. In NRL I go for St George Illawarra- My dad also does, he knows he's getting old when he see's the young players and can remember playing with their fathers. I also love the Australian Wallabies! My favourite swimmers are Liesel Jones, Ian Thorpe and one other guy who i can't remember right now. You can find me on the internet by checking out my contact information page. I'm normally on mIRC and MSN or if I don't feel like talking to anyone I'll be working on a web page or looking up old friends. I have two online journals- one for my friends and one just for me. I adore writing in them both because they're a great release for me. I'm a member of heaps of Yahoo! Groups, you can check those out on my links and CFS pages. I also like doing silly things like filling out those annoying surveys or posting my picture to hotornot.com (last I checked I was a 7.4 - that's a record!) You can check out my favourite TV Shows by clicking here. I have to say I'm a prisoner to daytime TV. At the moment I'm especially enjoying reruns of Home Improvement. I also like heaps of nighttime shows, but you can read more about them on my favourite TV shows page. I'm a great hoarder of things- I think since we've moved I've thrown out about 15 bags of rubbish, yet my room is still cluttered with millions of odds and ends. I have the entire collection of Girlfriend and Dolly Magazines ranging back to about 1995 and all my other magazines, huge collections of Sweet Valley and Babysitter Club books, wedding magazines, files and pamphlets, every single little ornament ever given to me. I'm pretty hopeless when it comes to keeping what's really important- I find I need everything. I have a heap of bags which I use, and a huge collection of hats stored away. I used to collect nail polish but luckily now have steered away from the fluoro orange and stick to neutral colors- or ones that I can bear. I'm a collector of makeup too- my finances don't allow me to buy much so most of it is stuff my mother didn't want or that was given away as samples in magazines- or silly ones I bought like blue glitter lipstick (which does come in handy on blue day at childcare). I have a box filled with every single letter I've hung onto- its getting pretty full! I don't have any pets, when I was growing up we had a cat called Semolina who died of sun cancer, a cat called Spoofy (formally Katmandu) who died of old age and a budgie called Tom who died of a lung condition. We had a little dog called Bonzer for two weeks because he'd run away, he was great and used to race us down the driveway, unfortunately his owners claimed him - but he's run away again. I've been parent to quite a few sea monkeys over the years but currently I have none. When we get our own house with a big backyard I'm planning on getting a little white dog- preferably a Besign Frieze and calling it Amelda. Likes I don't have a busy life, so I love to take pleasure in the small things in my day. Here's a list of them
