Comments | Epitaph's first record (ugh). I had the oppurtunity to by an original first pressing Peace Through Vandalism LP a few months ago but passed it up. Needless to say I've been kicking myself ever since. This is a pretty great record. The CD includes another favorite: When in Rome, Do as The Vandals. Both are early 80's Vandals...a far cry from today's Vandals. They're both good lo-fi old-school punk. And when both are on one CD, it's a great buy. |

Comments | These are a completely different Vandals from the days of Peace Through Vandalism (see above). Literally. There is only one original member (Joe Escalante), and they play a totally different brand of punk. It's impossible to compare this record to their older stuff, but it is very good on it's own. Very fast, very tight, kind of experimental at times. If you don't like the old Vandals, give this a try. If you like the old Vandals, there's no garuntee you'll like this. |

Comments | This is just about the only full-length you can find from The Vindictives, and I absoultely love The Vindictives. Pop-punk, Screeching Weasel/Queers-like stuff. But they're very original and very good. This is a collection of all of their EP's and comp. releases, many hard-to-find or out-of-print songs and all but two or three are amazing. You can pick this up at your local Record Town for about $8. |
