Kris and Zac wanted to sit up the front, Jamie, Isaac and Jessica wanted to sit up the back, and Taylor didn't care.
So the scene was the six standing there, arguing about where to sit. Finally Jamie's team won because of, as Kris put it, "that damn majority rules tripe".
The troupe climbed up the steep steps, and crowded into the back row.
Jamie started complaining. "I can't see!" she whined.
"That's what you get for wanting to sit here up in the boondox!" Kris snapped at her. Jamie still pouted, quieter.
Kris sat with Taylor on one side, and Jamie on the other. She poked Jamie in the side, and was rewarded with a howl. She was punched in retaliation, and Kris cursed. The two started to wrestle, and Kris' bag of M&M's was knocked over in the process.
Suddenly, Jess and Ike got up and walked down a few rows. The two stopped fighting, and looked at the other two.
"What are they doing?" asked Jamie to Zac.
"I dunno." he shrugged, flicking a blue M&M off his shirt.
"What the hell are you two lovebirds doing?" Kris hissed loudly to Jess and Isaac.
Jess turned around and shot back: "I'm not sitting with a bunch of babies!"
"Oh ho!" Kris whispered, and grinned. She picked up a mashed M&M, and was about to throw it, when the lights dimmed. She threw it anyway, and heard a curse from an elderly couple.
"Dammit. Hope you can get that outta your hair, Grandma." she snickered. She stopped when the screen flickered to life, and the movie began.
Kris was really getting into the movie when Zac said: "Oh man! Oh man oh man oh man!" He chuckled.
"Shhh!" Taylor told him. Zac only laughed harder.
"What?" Kris asked, tearing her eyes from the screen to look at Zac. She could see him easily in the bright light.
"Look at Ike and Jess!" he sniggered. Kris took one look, and cracked up. People from the other rows looked up at her crossly, and she covered her mouth.
"What?" Taylor asked her.
"Ike and Jess." she pointed, grinning. In the bright light, the two could be seen getting cozy. Jess had her head rested on Ike's shoulder, and he played with a string of her hair. Taylor laughed.
Jamie asked what they were laughing about, and Zac told her. She cracked up too. By this time, the group was gasping, and trying to shut up. The really funny thing was that the movie was at a sad bit, where one of the main characters were eaten alive. Kris pointed this out, and everyone was hanging out into the aisle, giggling.
It took them what seemed like hours, but when they all finally sobered, Kris got an idea. She could see, dimly, Ike and Jess getting even more cosier.
Kris grabbed her Coke, and whispered to the others: "Watch this." She got up, and walked down to the row behind the two, and sat down directly behind them. She turned and gave the thumbs up sign to the others.
Kris sat, trying hard not to gag. They were so close together that they practically shared an ear. She sat impatiently, waiting for just the right time....
Her plan went into action as the screen grew dark, and the atmosphere grew tense. As a scary bit was coming up, Kris took a long hard slurp of her Coke.
SLUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRP!
Not only Jess and Ike jumped, but the whole theatre. She could hear the group from the back laugh.
Kris sniggered . This was even better! she thought as a nervous titter went up. Kris was laughing along with them when she choked on her Coke. It surged up her nose, and she sneezed, coughed and hiccuped all at once. She sneezed Coke into Jess' hair, and on Ike's arm. She coughed and spluttered, and the couple turned to stare at her.
They couldn't see her in the dark, so Kris wiped her nose on Jess' sleeve, and croaked: "Thanks, luv. I needed that." Kris played at being an old woman. It obviously worked, because Ike and Jess moved.
Kris got back up, and went to join the others. They were literally limp in their seats, and she could see Taylor's face was bright red. High fives were passed around, and the movie went on, undisturbed, except for the odd outburst of laughter from the back row...
The group piled out from the theatre, and stood around, chatting about the movie.
"The sound effects were great!" Zac said enthusiastically. Taylor, Jamie and Kris cracked up, with Jess and Ike staring at them.
"So was the special effects!" Jamie gasped. Kris laughed harder, and gripped her stomach.
"Well, it was a great movie, and the only problem was that old lady wiping her snot on me!" Jess grumbled, staring disgustedly at a smear on her sleeve.
This broke the camel's back. The other 4 fell in a heap, hysterically laughing.
"What's so funny?" Jess asked, confused.
