New York I thought as I watched the huge towering buildings pass by. Oh, boy.
I turned and found Jessica staring out the windows, and Jamie doing the same. The guys, however, were laying back, relaxing.
"When you have no light..." Jamie began to sing, daydreaming.
"Sometimes when all your dreams..." Taylor joined in. Then Isaac, then Zac and Jessica. The driver nearly stalled as the voices rose in harmony. "... and I'll swear that I'll be there come what may."
"Cause even if we can't be together, we'll be friends now and forever..." Isaac and Jessica sang.
"And I swear that I'll be there come what may." I joined in with Taylor. He stared at me and I grinned. "When the night is dark..."
"We all need somebody we can turn to..." we sang.
"Someone who always understand..." Ike and Jess sang loudly.
"So if you feel that your soul is dying..." Taylor and me sang.
"And you need the strength to keep trying..." Isaac and Jessica chorused.
"I'll reach out to take your hand..." Zac and Jamie joined in.
"Na na na na na!" We all sang with Isaac and Jessica singing the background. The van vibrated with the sound. The car stopped at an intersection, and the people in the neighboring cars wound down their windows and listened awestruck.
"I'll reach out for you!"
"When you have no light to guide you! And no one to walk beside! I will come to you, oh, I will come to you. When the night is dark and stormy, You won't have to reach out for me..." we shrilled loudly, ignoring the stunned New Yorkers.
"Oh, I will come to you... you, oh, oh, oh. I will come to you, oh, I will come you..." Taylor sang, and I blended my voice with his, mimicking the breaks.
The song ended, and well laughed until our eyes watered. I felt silly, corny even, but it felt so good to let loose while zooming on the highway.
"Cool!" Zac commented.
"Yeah, cool." Jessie beamed.
Jamie grabbed a sheet of paper and scribbled something on it. Maybe we should marry Hanson, and increase the band to 6.
My jaw dropped, and I turned around to find a red faced Jamie holding her giggles in.
Oh, good idea, Jamie. I wrote back, with a face on it. =P~~~ I added a small note on the bottom: We do rock, though.
