CHAPTER SIXTY-FIVE

I slept most of the airplane ride...

The noise reverberated in my mind. The sound of brakes screeching, metal rending and glass shattering. I heard someone cry out and then nothing.

What was that? Someone singing? The voice sounded familiar...

Red hot pain tore through my body and I could hear someone gasping...

"Kristen!" Taylor yelled into my face.

I woke up with a start.

"You okay?" he asked, concerned.

I nodded. "Yeah... Just the nightmare." I leaned over awkwardly and took out a bottle of pills. I swallowed the blue pill and sat back sighing.

He stared at me. "You have this all the time?"

I nodded without turning my head. "Yeah. I get kinda used to it now."

He just shook his head. "I just can't imagine."

I stared out the window. "Mmm. Remember what I told you about the moon?"

He was taken aback. "Yeah..."

I grinned. "Have a look." I pointed out of the window.

He leaned over and saw the large silver disk hanging only inches above the wings.

"Cool, huh?" I said into his hair.

He nodded. "Yeah."
