BOUNCING SOULS IS A GREAT PUNK BAND OUT OF NEW JERSEY. THEY ARE CROWD FAVORITES WHEREVER THEY GO. THEY HAVE BEEN TOGETHER SINCE THE LATE 80's AND HAVE RELEASED MANY GREAT PUNK CD's. WHEN I SEEN THEM LIVE, SINGER GREG ATTONITO JUST SAT THERE ALL DRESSED UP AND LOOKIN PRETTY AS HE ALWAYS DOES. AND IF THEY STOP BY YOUR HOUSE DONT LET THEM IN BECAUSE THEY WILL EAT ALL YOUR FOOD. The contrast between the Bouncing Souls and the rest of the musical world is both that of clever cadences and simplistic, yet dangerously catchy music, which exudes light-hearted verve & unyielding confidence. The band itself has been united almost nine years, yet they have been comrades for far longer, having grown up in the same suburbs of New Jersey. It was at a young age that they armed themselves against the disconnected world around them with both irony and satire as their prime defenses and found comfort in the arms of punk rock music. As they evolved as people and as a band, so did the strength of their friendship. This can be seen on any stage in any city whether it's in what they now call their home turf of New York City or whether it's on tour with such bands as NOFX, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, or the Descendents. It's obvious they do more than hold their own and have turned many a skeptical head with their unique style and the sincerity that saturates it. If you were to ask any of the band members to describe their music, they may very well say it has an "East Coast" edge to it - somewhat aggressive and to the point...straight up, no chaser. In the simplest terms and in compliance with their home city of New York, "if you don't like it...fuck you. We've got bigger seas to sail."
