The Grace Slick designed "White Rabbit Stationery Set" was released by Dark House Comics on April 26, 2006. The set contains stickers and 8 pages of stationery.
Linda Perry's CD "In Flight" was re-released on October 11, 2005. The CD features a duet with Grace Slick on "Knock me Out" that also appeared on the Soundtrack to
"The Crow: City Of Angels" in 1996. "In Flight" was originally released on September 9, 1996.
The paperback version of Jeff Tamarkin's book "Got A Revolution: The Turbulent flight of Jefferson Airplane" was released on July 19, 2005.
"Starship In Concert" DVD was released on June 3, 2005. The live DVD includes 10 songs.
Limited Edition prints from Grace Slick were released by Area Arts in July of 2005. The web site features all of the pictures.
Drummer Spencer Dryden, one of the founding members of Jefferson Airplane, died at age 66 on January 10, 2005. Here are the links about his passing:

"Fly Jefferson Airplane" a DVD documentary, was released on September 21, 2004. The DVD features interviews, history and concert footage from Jefferson Airplane.
"Over the Edge - Featuring Mickey Thomas" was released on May 20, 2004 internationally, and on August 3, 2004 in the United States. The Frontiers Records release features 10 tracks, plus
a video, and a video interview with Mickey Thomas. The CD includes songs written by Jack Blades, Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain, Freddy Curci and Steven Cristol.
The CD also features musicians such as Neal Schon himself on guitar on “Surrender”, Steve Lukather (Toto) on “Forest For The Trees”, Richie Kotzen (Mr. Big, Poison) on “The Man In Between.” Order it from amazon.com.
Starship Greatest Hits - The Platinum & Gold Collection was released on July 13, 2004. The CD features 12 remastered tracks, including remixes of "Before I Go" and "It's Not Enough" as well as the "Sara" single edit.
Jack Casady released a new CD on Eagle Records on June 17, 2003. The 11 track CD is titled "Dream Factor" and features numerous
guest artists including Jorma Kaukonen, Fee Waybill and Ivan Neville.
Jeff Tamarkin's book about Jefferson Airplane/Starship, and all of their offshoots was released on June 3, 2003. Jeff has interviewed many of the band members and
others involved with the groups. He is already an expert on the groups as he has written liner notes for JA/JS remasters and the "Jefferson Airplane Loves You" box set. The title
is "Got a Revolution! The Turbulent Flight of Jefferson Airplane." Details are available
Starship "Greatest Hits" was released on April 22, 2003 on Brilliant Records. The CD features Mickey Thomas, along with the current members, re-recording the hits.
The CD features 14 songs.
Jorma Kaukonen's "Blue Country Heart" was nominated for a Grammy for Best Traditional Folk Album on January 7, 2003. The other nominees were "Fiddlers 4" by Fiddlers 4,
"Postcards" by Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer, "High Lonesome Cowboy" by Peter Rowan and Don Edwards, "Evangaline Made - A Tribute to Cajun Music" by Various Artists, and
the eventual winner: "Legacy" by Don Watson and David Holt. For more information click here.
A DVD of "The Monterey Pop Festival" was released on November 12, 2002. The DVD set contains numerous performances, including Jefferson Airplane.
Marty Balin and Bob Yehling's book: "Full Flight: A Tale of Airplanes & Starships" was released on November 1, 2002.
Here's the description: With reminiscences of the San Francisco psychedelic music scene and the Jefferson Airplane,
including the emotional and creative roller coaster ride taken by Balin and Grace Slick; the forming of Jefferson Starship
and Marty's current forays into painting, flying solo and touring with Jefferson Starship. Unfortunately, the book is out of print,
but amazon.com sometimes has used copies.
Grace Slick was inducted via handprints into the Hollywood Rock Walk Of Fame at noon on October 22, 2002.

Jorma Kaukonen signed with Columbia (Sony) Music on September 10, 2001. The CD titled "Blue Country Heart" has 13 tracks and
was released on June 11, 2002. It features bluegrass music from the 1930's and 1940's. Read the article here, and order it from amazon.

Pete Sears, now a member of Hot Tuna, released a new CD titled "The Long Haul" on December 18, 2000. The 18 track CD from 33rd Street Records features his band, "Dawn Patrol" and artists such as John
Lee Hooker, Steve Kimock, and Charlie Musselwhite.
Some of Grace Slick's paintings were displayed at the Artrock Gallery in San Francisco, California.

Former manager and Jefferson Airplane shareholder Bill Thompson is suing Paul Kantner for touring as

Mickey Thomas is on an Aerosmith tribute CD that was released on September 7, 1999. He performs the Aerosmith song "Last Child" with Nathan East, Earl Slick and Steve Ferrone. It contains 11 songs with numerous rock artists
from the 70's and 80's. "Toys in the Attic" has Ansley Dunbar on drums. The CD is on Cleopatra records and is
available at cdnow.

CMC International Records released Jefferson Starship "Greatest Hits: Live at the Fillmore" on September 14, 1999. The CD was recorded on November 6th, 1998 at the Fillmore in San Francisco and it
contains 8 Jefferson Airplane songs, 6 Jefferson Starship songs, and 1 Marty Balin song for a total of 15 songs. Look at the

"Adventures with Kanga Roddy" continues its success. There are now 27 episodes which air on public television stations
around the country. There are also 3 videos and plans for a CD Rom. You can order the videos by going to the Kanga Roddy Gift Shop.
RCA released the remastered "Knee Deep In The Hoopla" on July 27, 1999. The remastered
CD contains the 9 original tracks and a 10th track titled "Casualty" which was previously unavailable.

"More Oar" a tribute to Skip Spence and his only album "Oar" was
released on July 6, 1999 on Birdman Records. The release contains songs by Robert Plant, Tom Waits, and Beck among
others. All 16 tracks are covers of the 16 original songs on the 1969 album. Look at the

Craig Chaquico's latest album "Four Corners" was released on June 29,
1999. The album, like his others, is on the Higher Octave label and it contains
a cover of "Somebody to Love" as well as 11 other tracks. Look at the

Adventures of Kanga Roddy won an Emmy at the 28th Annual Northern California Area Emmy Awards on
May 22, 1999. The Emmy was awarded for Best Directed Taped Program of the year by the National Academy of Televison Arts and Sciences (San Francisco Chapter).
"Adventures with Kanga Roddy" is a children's show in which Mickey Thomas is the voice of Kanga Roddy. Look at the Emmy web page.
Skip Spence, Jefferson Airplane's original drummer, died of lung
cancer on April 16, 1999. He was 52. Spence left JA in 1966 and was a
founding member of Moby Grape. He had battled schizophrenia and alcoholism.
The Best of Grace Slick was released on February 23, 1999. The CD contains
18 tracks from her Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship, Starship and solo works.

Windows of Heaven was released in the United States by CMC International Records
on February 9, 1999. Unlike the German release, it contains 12 tracks. Four tracks from the German release are not included.
There is one track that is not on the German release, which
is "I'm On Fire" featuring Grace Slick. As with the German release, 2 tracks are re-recordings of tracks from the
"Deep Space/Virgin Sky" release. Look at the

Mark Morgan wrote the score for the ABC series "Vengence Unlimited" which started in September, 1998.
Unfortunately, the show suffered nearly the same fate as Mark's other ABC show "Prey" and was canceled.
We hope to hear more from Mark in the future, as he continues to write television scores.
A new Jefferson Airplane-Jefferson Starship-Starship 2CD set was released on
September 28, 1998. The compilation set contains 35 songs from all three groups.
White Rabbit, Somebody to Love, Miracles, Count on Me, We Built This City, Sara, and

A new album by Craig Chaquico and Russ Freeman was released on September 15, 1998 on Windham Hill records.
The album is called "From The Redwoods To The Rockies" and contains

Mickey Thomas is the voice of "Kanga Roddy" in the new cartoon
titled "Adventures with Kanga Roddy" which is currently in syndication.
PBS is airing the show in many markets. The show also has the voice of
Pat Morita, and is produced by former San Francisco 49ers Joe Montana
and Ronnie Lott. Their wives, Jennifer Montana and Karen Lott, play

Jefferson Starship released a new album in Germany on June 3, 1998. The album
is titled "Windows of Heaven" and contains 15 tracks: 13 new ones and two re-recordings
of tracks from the "Deep Space/Virgin Sky" release.
Jefferson Airplane "Live at the Fillmore East" was released by RCA

Starship now tours as "Starship Featuring Mickey Thomas."
The band has had various tours and performances over the past
couple of years. They can frequently be found at various summertime
events such as county fairs, and other outdoor venues. Jefferson Starship is also touring.
Starship Featuring Mickey Thomas can be booked by contacting such agencies as
TEI Management Agency and
Lustig Talent Enterprises.
Mickey Thomas appeared on Sammy Hagar's album "Marching to Mars". He sings background vocals on two of the songs, "Kama" and "Who Has The Right" which was co-written by Craig Chaquico.
Other appearances on the album include Huey Lewis, Slash, and Denny Carmassi (formerly of Heart). The album was produced by Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart.
Mark Morgan (Starship's keyboardist on "Love Among The Cannibals") wrote the musical score
for the ABC series "Prey". The series started in January, 1998. Unfortunately, it was canceled in late 1998.
