Welcome!
The purpose of this section of the website is to make exhaustively written transcriptions of certain Clash concerts available for online reference, paying particular attention to the statements, jokes and speeches delivered by the group during their many performances. Corrections, additions and comments and/or suggestions on the style and management of information presented are welcome... and NEEDED!
A few words on presentation and organization - as well as abbreviations used in the text:
Song titles in Bold indicate they were played. If nothing is written under the title, then the words were, more or less, the same as they appear on the records besides just say... forgetting some lyrics. The lyrics to the entire Clash catalog can be found at David Hudson’s London’s Burning! While it may interest some to track minor variations in lyric delivery, only major changes or freestyles are found documented here.
The spelling and punctuation used in these transcriptions attempts to most accurately present the style of The Clash's speech as heard from existing recordings of their performances.
