The List

Men I Would LIke To Marry...besides Steven, my almost-husband

I like MEN! But, in particular, THESE men! Here's why...

1. David Letterman

The King of Late Night TV

Yes, that's why I love Letterman. Ok, not really. I just think he's so great at what he does, and I look forward to watching him make a fool of himself every weeknight. If you've never heard him say "You've got more troubles than a monkey on a stick," you're missing out.

2. Mark Philippoussis

The Tennis God

I would love to be able to say that I love this man solely for his athletic ability, but I would be lying. Come on! Admit it! He's GORGEOUS! But he also has a killer serve and an improving game. All Hail Mark Philippoussis!!!!!

3. Jeff Goldblum

The King of the Dramatic Pause

I still remember the first time I saw Jeff in Jurassic park. He absolutely amazed me. If you'll remember his speech as the group was eating lunch, you'll understand why I instantly become obsessed with Mr. Goldblum. Ok, plus the fact that he's not too bad-looking.

4. Jude Christodal

The Unknown Musician

I first heard a song by Jude while watching Dawson's Creek. (Yes, I said Dawson's Creek.) The song playing was about a man that can't attend an ex's wedding because it would be just too painful. If you've never heard this song, YOU NEED TO! It is the saddest song I've EVER heard, and I thank Jude for writing it. Oh yeah, and he's a pretty handsome fella, too!

5. Mark McGrath

The well-known, well-liked, extremely GORGEOUS musician.

I heard Mark singing wih Sugar Ray, but I'd never seen him until I saw his "Every Morning" video. I wish he would wear tank tops like that all the time. This man is probably as close to "my ideal type" as you can get--the hair, a musician, intelligent. Mmm...what a guy.

6. John Cusack

The quirky actor

I don't really know where my obsession with Mr. Cusack began. My best guess is that it's because he was in "Say Anything," where he held up the boombox playing Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes, " which was their song, and it just happened to be "our song" when I was going out with Matt. After that movie, I started watching more movies he was in, and I now believe that we're soulmates, or maybe some of his characters are my soulmates. Either way, I'm in love with John.

7. Andrew Keegan

The classic teen actor

I saw Andrew Keegan in Thunder Alley and immediately started buying teen magazines to get his pinups. I was obsessed. Now he's all grown up, but he always ends up playing jerks in his movies. What a tragedy. And then he played a guy with a kid on 7th Heaven. Well, at least he and LeAnn Rimes are splitsville.

8. David Spade

The King of Sarcasm

Wow, what can I say about David Spade? He's just...cool. If I got around David, I'd completely freeze up. I'm not worthy! He's my comedic mentor. Long live the king!

9. Adam Sandler

The master of really, really stupid acting

My old best friend April and I used to watch Billy Madison almost every weekend. Adam Sandler is incredibly awesome, and incredibly good-looking. I challenge you to watch one of his movies and not laugh. It's been proven impossible.

10. Alan Rickman

Colonel Brandon

This man will always be Colonel Brandon to me. He can be in as many movies as he wants, but I'll always remember him pining after Marianne in Sense and Sensibility. He was such the gentleman. Too bad he's too old for me. *sigh*

11. Hugh Grant

The Witty English Suitor

Another man from Sense and Sensibility. I believe I would've been satisfied with just that one movie to watch over and over, but then he had to go and make Notting Hill. Here his dry humor really comes out. And you get to see him shirtless, yum yum. I highly recommend watching it.

12. Johnny Depp

The oh-so-hot actor

I liked him in his long hair stage. That's when he did Benny and Joon. He had very few lines in that movie, but that just meant you got to study his perfect face rather than he acting. I remember my sister liked him in his "21 Jumpstreet" days. I guess she passed the crush on to me.

13. Adam Duritz

The soulful songwriter

Most people out there will adamently tell me that Adam is not the best-looking guy in the world, but I really don't care. He writes the most insightful songs I've ever heard, and I love him for it. He's a master of language and music. I think he's beautiful.

14. Harry Connick, Jr.

The Man of Many Talents

He can sing, he can write, he can act--he can have me anyday. He's been compared over and over to Frank Sinatra, but there will be a day when people are compared to him.
