Legend of Nirvana

Nirvana was a great band! There music rocks and the lead singer, Kurt Cobain, was the best. His voice lured you deep into his songs, made you think about what he was saying. But on April 7th, 1994 -Kurt was found dead.- He had killed himself with a gunshot. A famous rock singer made into an everlasting legend.

He had a wife, Courtney Love (who is lead singer in the band Hole). And a daughter named Frances.

Most everyone out there who's into alternative music loves Nirvana. They were probably one of the first alternative rock bands out there. Bands like Silverchair and Bush are being compared to Nirvana. No matter if any band tries to copy the image of peace and anger at the same, Nirvana is the only band able to capture that image. Kurt was a unique person.

Kurt's Death

If you remember back to shortly after Kurt's death, they were debating whether it was suicide or murder. They decided on suicide.

That subject has come up again.
Here are some reasons that people think it might have been murder...

there were no fingerprints on the gun (dead men don't wipe there own prints)
the only part of his suicide note that pertained to death were the last 4 lines..
and the last 4 lines were written in a different handwriting than the rest of the note.
Also you notice that Kurt seemed really calm in the note, if he contemplating suicide.

What some people think is that the note was written by Kurt (with the exception of the last 4 lines) explaining why he was quitting music, not why he was quitting life. They think that his murderer wrote the last 4 lines to make it seem like a suicide note. Some think Courtney Love did it. Though I think, someone said that she was in LA at the time that his death occured.

My opinion is this:
I think he did commit suicide, everyone knew he was on heroin for stomach problems, and you also notice that in most of his songs he refers to suicide. I believe that people make too much out of things. The fingerprints being gone I explain this way, first he shot himself, the gun then slipped from his hand smearing all the prints. Besides, if someone murdered Kurt then you'd think the killer would have thought to put Kurt's prints on the gun.

The last 4 lines in his suicide note are written differently simply because Kurt hurriedly wrote them as an afterthought.

Kurt Cobain was really great, but people should accept his death. Even if he was murdered, it was 3 years ago, why recount the past? It won't be able to be proved anyway, it was too long ago. If there is a murderer out there somewhere who killed Kurt Cobain, then their punishment will come soon enough. Life has it's way with things like that.

Let Kurt rest in peace.
The man is gone
a great man
but nevertheless...he's gone.
His music still lives
His music will always be alive.
But his body is gone....
