The Rolling Stones, aside from being tremendously great themselves, have led me to the discovery of so many other artists which I love: Marianne Faithfull; Velvet Underground (believe it or not -- I learned of them via The Stones when I read that "Stray
at Blues" was inspired by The Velvets); Gram Parsons; Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Robert Johnson and other blues greats in that continuum; The Band (via the country-rock inflections); and so many others. Thank you, Stones -- you have changed my life.
