Introduction

I'm back from summer holiday. Here you can find the latest news about up-and-coming new composer john Frizzell. Hope you enjoy. Any questions? Just e-mail me!

I will try to make this site complete as possible, but there isn't much info on John yet. This is the sister site of the Unofficial Mark Mancina Site.

Late News

  • john is currently in the process of recording the music for the Alien: ressurection motion picture, due for release in November in the US. There will probably be a soundtrack release of the score.

  • This site is for the composer John C. Frizzell. The C. is to avoid misunderstandings with john Frizzell the writer/director/producer. But John C. is mostly referred to as John Frizzell.

  • Despite heavy internet rumors that James Horner was signed on to score, John is still scoring Alien: Resurrection.

  • Alien: Resurrection is due out in November in the US.

Biography

John Frizzell was born in New York City some thirty years ago. At age ten he had already started his musical career singing in the Paris Opera Company and Metropolitan Company. His intersetest turned to jazz and he studied with the legend Joe Pass. After that he went to the University of Southern California School of Music and the Manhattan School of Music. he then got to work with Michael Mainieri as a synthisist and producer/orchestrater. He also worked with Ryuchi Sakamoto on Oliver Stone's "Wild Palms". He then got offered to score the critically-acclaimed TV-series VR5 by producer John Sacret Young. He has recently scored HBO's Crime of the Century and Disney's the Rich Man's Wife. John Frizzell also used to work as a keyboardist for James Newton Howard. His breakthrough came recently with a big score for the volcano-flick Dante's Peak. His credits include the scores for "Beavis and Butthead Do America", "Dante's Peak" and the upcoming "Alien: Resurrection". More biographical info when I find some. If you have more info, please e-mail me.
