Editor's WordShout! for Depeche Mode lovers - is hand-made magazine established on May 9th, 1996 in Moscow. For today we released 10 issues + five promos (all of them are printed on Russian only). As you can see from its name, our edition is intended for Depeche Mode lovers (yeah, lovers are huge fans, but possibly... ;)))). Therefore first of all it use to be comprehensive representation of creativity of this great group, its career, philosophy, musical style and stage image.
For our new readers we declare that Shout! always differs from other attempts of moscow DM hand-made publishings with its own opinion in info submission, its own point on problem review, in any way connected with DM movement and life in general. We'll be never engaged in "complete discography, biography and lyrics" publishing, translations Bong (*) or other widely known editions like "Enjoy the Silence" (**), leaving this field of activity to others. Here you will always discover really interesting and unknown stuff. We'll give you a chance to find out much new for yourself, which is carefully hiding by the official fan club and well-paid journalists from pop music magazines. This is that most unknown Depeche Mode, which has numerous army of fans around the world and at the same time almost three year verged into close to death disintegration. On our magazine pages we'll try to understand the reasons of as such unpredictable DM success, as their last fall in nowhere.
However, speech in Shout! goes not only about Depeche Mode. Never forget your past roots, and we'll tell you about New Romantics. All that happens in techno-world today, huge variety of styles and directions, - you'll open much new from our magazine. But don't search in Shout! sweety articles about modern german-swedish soap-synthypop - unfortunately (or it's good luck?) editors doesn't like this musical substitute (except some realy cool bands). Everything but no fucking soap-music! And even more: correspondence, discussions etc. Well, read and enjoy!

This version is promotional in its nature, therefore it represent base materials from each original Shout! issue. We cut some materials, photos etc. - they will remain in paper copy only, 'cos putting whole edition in web form is difficult task. The paper version will always original, and electronic will become its promo. But WWW-Shout! will be not less interesting! Its materials will include stuff, which you couldn't see in original Shout! - current reviews, always fresh news etc. You can offer us that you want to see in Shout! (as in electronic, as in the original versions).
This is black-and-white edition on 30 or more pages, produced in home conditions by only two people, Alex Davie and Kate 101. Only this version includes complete versions of all articles, all illustrations etc.
The first copy is publishing in Microsoft Word 97, then printing out on a laser printer 600 dpi (HP LaserJet 6L) and copying on a copy machine (SHARP 2114). As a result we are receiving quality b/w copy (for hand-made publishing)
We constantly work hard on further design and quality improvement. It permits to improve external shape of our magazine with each number, so you can see it, if you've got Shout!.
