dear damon
March 2007
Happy Birthday Month, d! Many happy returns and another super successful and happy year to you! Hope your march on February 24th in London received mega amounts of attention and that all of you were able to sway public opinion to your side. Peace is the only thing that makes sense to me, too.
Last month's trip to go to your gigs was a crazy, blessed and unforgettable one. I apologise for having to leave a bit before 10 PM on the last night, but had to catch the last train from Aylesbury to London or pitch a tent in the green fields of Aylesbury which I was not ready to do lest an Alex (not the blur Alex, but A Clockwork Orange's Alex) wannabe and his cronies be tempted to give me grief. It was wonderful being able to sing along with you on "Kingdom of Doom," though, so thank you, as always, for being the you that you are.
Will be posting gig/trip reports the latter part of this month in the gig report section, so please check that out after the third week of the month. The trip can be summed up as a trip during which I encountered many guardian angels. To all of them a great big hug and gratitude from the bottom of my heart.
Wish I could go to the last Hammersmith Palais show on March 31st before it is torn down on the 1st of April (April Fool's Day? How apropos!), but will be in Texas on assignment. Will wish you all a great show. Am happy to say, though, that I will be at your 9:30 gig in Washington on the 14th and will be standing at the usual position and sending you oodles of positive vibes. Safe travels across the Pond, d!
See you soon,
frances
