My CD cover will be on all the pages. I am a songwriter after all and I do
want you to hear my music. Capitalism runs rampant in me...
I'm an avid tennis player/fan. Not that great
a player (USTA rating is 3.5) but I really enjoy everything about the game.
These two sites have fun and interesting articles and chat rooms.
www.Tennisserver.com.
www.Tennisw.com.
ATP Coach has a lot of useful info
for strategies, health, equipment, etc. Of course, it's from the ATP.
Tennismenace.com is a retail
site with a great selection of everything.
www.bomis.com goes
to a tennis 'Web Ring'.
Lindsay
Davenport has a few sites dedicated to her. This is a good one.
'The Women of
Tennis: A Photo Gallery' has lots of great info on the top player
PLUS the lesser known women players.
Tennis Elbow! I would like to pass on my experience with this.
I never had tennis elbow until I bought a wide-body, longbody, relatively
powerful raquet. It didn't start right away but 4 or 5 weeks later it
started. To make this short I went back to a conventional size raquet
and the difference in my elbow is wonderful. I bought a Volkl C90 Classic.
The vibration dampening in this raquet is the best I've played with, and
it doesn't take away any of the feel.
Anyway, consider not playing with a wide body, they are very stiff and
hard on the arm. Yes, I did the exercises and warm-ups for about a year.
And I did try regular length wide-bodies. I think for me it was the stiff
frames.
If anyone has some other good tennis links please let me know...

Your kidding aren't you? I thought you said he was at least a 3.5! "Brad Gilbert"
When I watch his teamwork, footwork, and court sense, well, it brings back memories of when I was first learning to dance. "Ed Astair -Berlin"
Dude!!I feel for ya'. Maybe you should think about badmiton or something a little easier. "Phil Butterman of The Butterman Chronicles"
I'm just glad we don't have to play him..."The Woody's"
Some people have it and some people don't. Kenn? Well..., "Andre Agassi"
I always feel better after playing him..."Art Monk"
All he does is hit at the girl!! You can call that good if you want but I think it's kind of cheesy. "Unknown opponent that lost"
That Nancy is a good, strong player. Too bad she has to carry him all the time. " Nancy's tennis instructor"
One
of the 7.0 mixed doubles team I was on (that's me on the right) got a
'Sportsmanship' recognition. We are from the Pleasant Hill Tennis Club
and are called 'The Raptors'. From left to right it's:
Dean Frakes (Our team captain), Carol Oswood, Maury Schumaker,
the handsome guy on the right is Kenn Peterson, Lisa Rounkle,
and Bea Schmugler. Of course there are a lot more of us but we
were the only ones who showed up for practice that day!!
