Maddie trudged up the stairs to her apartment. She had just finished her shift as a waitress at the club she worked at. Her feet were aching and her head was pounding. "Ughh I cannot wait until I get my degree and can get a real job" she thought to herself.
She walked into her apartment and her tabby cat Tequila met her at the door. "Hi T did you miss me?" she scooped her cat up into her arms and walked into the living room. She turned on her stereo and checked her messages. Her friend Ashleigh had called to tell her that their communications 9 am class was cancelled. "There is a god!" she smiled and jumped into the shower.

Howie was on his computer trying to answer all his emails. He didn't check them regularily and now he was paying for it. He was in the middle of a world tour and he missed his family and friends a lot. He had just finished a show and he was beat. He looked at the clock on the bedside table and saw that it said 2 am..."god I had better get some sleep." He turned off the computer and got into bed. Besides missing his family he missed sleeping in his own bed. Hotel beds are always too soft or too hard. He tossed and turned and fell asleep.

Maddie wrapped her towel around her body and got into bed. She grabbed
her
poli sci text book off her bedside table and started to read. She was
halfway done a chapter when her eyes felt heavy and the book slipped
out of
her fingers...she turned off the light and fell asleep.
