Wednesday Morning...Ottawa International Airport
Maddie was standing in line waiting to check her luggage when I Want It That Way by the boys came over the loudspeakers. She smiled and her mind raced ahead to the time she was going to spend with Howie in Sweden.
She checked in her luggage and walked to the boarding door. As she settled into her window seat she dug out the letter that Howie had sent with her airline ticket.

I usually am not one to express my emotions but I must admit I am nervous about the prospect of spending time with you in person.
You see our Wednesday night dates are the one thing on this tour that keeps me sane and grounded. I look forward each week to hearing your voice and your laugh.
I find it easy to talk to you over the phone because I don't have to worry about reaching out and touching your face or kissing your lips.
As our meeting approaches I am worried that when I see your beautiful smile and hear the voice that has come to be my sense of comfort when I am down, I am afraid that I will no longer be able to keep my emotions and feelings in check.
So dear Maddie if when I see you I reach out and kiss you, please do not be taken aback, for I am doing it because for the past 2 months I have dreamed of it and I have become lost in the moment.

Maddie wiped the now familiar tears that had fallen from her eyes every time she read his letter. She was frightened because she knew she cared for Howie too but was afraid that if they acted on their feelings, that they would both be let down...She did not want to lose the tenderness they shared over the phone throughout their 2 month friendship.
Maddie put her head back in the seat and held the letter to her chest.

Howie was fixing his hair for the seventh time making sure it was perfect when he saw Maddie.
"D...my goodness, you have so much gel in your hair, it wouldn't move if you were caught in a tornado...calm down..you have been talking to Maddie for 2 months...there is nothing to worry about" AJ said.
"AJ I just don't want to ruin anything...I don't know what I would do if I ruined this and didn't have Maddie to talk to anymore....God AJ I really care for her."
"Howie just let it happen, work with the moment, if it is meant to be it will happen."
"Thanks AJ" Howie hugged his best friend.

Maddie was collecting her luggage when she heard a familiar voice behind her.
"Hi M..." Maddie turned around and dropped her luggage. She threw her self into Howie's arms and hugged him...
"Hi Howie...my god it is so good to see you again..."
Howie looked at Maddie....her green eyes were shining and her smile was wide and bright. He kissed her on the cheek and took her luggage.
"SO how was your flight" Howie asked.
The two walked to the waiting limousine and drove off.
