Abbie watched as Howie and the rest of the guys took their bows and then ran off stage and were ushered quickly through the crowd and into the backstage area. Abbie followed with Emma and the stylists. The backstage area was a zoo and she stayed off to the side so as not to be in anyone's way. She reached for a bottled water and watched as the chaos stopped and the room took on a feeling of calmness. "Abbie..I am supposed to give you this" Mindi, the only female member of the band handed her a note and smiled "Howie looks pretty excited about something, take it easy on him okay.." Mindi smiled brightly and walked out to the waiting bus.
Miss Foster,
If you have received this letter than it means you accepted the rose that Mr Dorough offered you. He needed to leave right after the show so that he could make himself presentable to be seen with you. He will knock twice on your door and wait for your smiling face to answer the door.
Till Then,
Mr Dorough
Abbie smiled and followed the rest of the boys' crew out to the vans.

Howie took a deep breath and knocked lightly on Abbie's hotel door. He smiled when the door opened and he came face to face with her. Her beauty made him breath in sharply. She had changed her clothes after the show. She was now dressed in a deep purple wrap dress. Her long curls hung loosely down her back and her big brown eyes seemed to stand out and shine.
"Hello Mr Dorough..I was beginning to wonder if you had changed your mind" Abbie teased as she gave him the once over and rewarded him with an approving smile. Howie's hair was loosely tied back, his black knit turtleneck, black leather jacket and black dress pants complimented his toned body.
"I am sorry I was so late. Management needed to go over some quick things after the show. You look absolutely stunning Abbie" Howie kissed her cheek. "Are you ready to go?" Howie helped her on with her jacket and she slipped her hand into his as they shut the door and walked down the hallway.
Kevin and AJ were walking out of the elevator on their way to the club when they saw Howie and Abbie walk out of the elevator. "Now that is one good looking couple" A woman in the lobby commented as Howie and Abbie walked by her.
Kevin watched the two of them walk by him and he grimaced. They were a very beautiful couple and as much as he wanted to be happy for Howie he knew that he had lost the chance with the woman who he had been crushing on for over a year.

"I have never been in a limo before" Abbie settled into the rich and creamy leather that covered the car's seats.
Howie smiled as he watched her face flush with excitement. Her wide eye amazement was the same as the morning in the resteraunt when she had seen Sharon Stone. Howie loved seeing her reactions to new experiences. He reached for the champagne and popped the cork. He poured two glasses and handed one to Abbie "To a wonderful night Miss Foster"

"Howie I cannot believe that you had the caterer hide dinner in the limo." Abbie had hiked her dress up around her thighs and she and Howie were currently sitting snuggled together in the limo eating chicken shwarmas and watching the scenery of downtown Chicago whiz by them.
"Well I couldn't decide on a restaurant that would offer us the opportunity to be alone and one that would allow us to really talk and get to know each other." Howie reached for the linen napkin and wiped his mouth.
"Would I embarrass you if I told you that this was the most romantic thing that anyone has ever done for me" Abbie said quietly.
Howie beamed and ran his fingers down her neck "That was my intention" he leaned down and whispered in her ear.
"Well then I say your intentions were met Mr Dorough" Abbie felt the stillness in the air and she was uncomfortable with it. She reached forward and as Howie went to pull her in closer she flicked the switch for the sun roof and climbed onto the seat so that she could climb into the sun roof and see the Chicago sky. "Howie it is beautiful up here" Abbie crouched back down and pulled Howie up to join her in the sun roof opening. As the two of them let the cool wind rip through their hair and chill their skin, Abbie leaned back into Howie's chest and the two of them watched Chicago zoom by.

"Let's go through a drive through and order some food" Abbie was hyper, she wasn't sure if it was the two bottles of champagne they had drank or the feeling of excitement that came over her everytime Howie touched her.
Howie laughed "This is your evening Abigail. Your tell me what you want to do and I will make it happen"
"Well then I say point this limo in the direction of a Baskin Robbins and lets get some ice cream"
~~**~~
"Oh my god Howie I am on a big time sugar high..oh my god my teeth are aching I ate so much sugar" Abbie groaned and leaned into Howie, rubbing her stomach. The two had been joking when they ordered the Monster Mash but were shocked when the 8 scoop ice cream sundae was handed to them in the limo. They had done it justice and were both now too full to move. "Howie ask the limo driver to pull over and we can walk through that park over there to wear off all the food we ate..otherwise Emma is going to kick my butt when you break the cable tomorrow and can't fly" Abbie teased. The limousine pulled over to the curb and the two got out and started to walk through the park.
"Howie can I ask you something?"
Howie squeezed her hand and smiled "Anything."
"Why did you do all this..why did you write me every day, and most of all why did you buy me the girl in the glass painting?"
Howie stopped and led her over to the park bench and sat down "Abbie I did all those things because you intrigue me....at first I liked you as an employee, then as a friend but now my feelings are changing and all I want it to spend time with you, getting to know you. I want to find out what kind of music you like, what your favourite way to spend a rainy day is and what makes you laugh. You know so much about us and we know nothing about you"
"Howie I love my job, I love spending time with you and the guys but this is my JOB. I was hired to write a book about you and that is what I am intent on doing. I want to spend time with you too but as friend..I can't handle anything else right now. I am 24 and I came here to make a name in this business." Abbie ran her fingers slowly over his cheek. "Please say you understand"
"Abigail Foster I understand completely." Howie felt her shiver beneath his
touch "now my friend I think we should get you back into the car before you
are a popsicle" Howie took her hand and the two walked back to the car.
Howie unsure of how he was going to handle the situation and Abbie cursing
herself for being too independant and too career oriented.
