Chapter 22

Abbie stared at the letter she held in her hands and tried to work through the details of the letter in her head.

"We are extremly interested in the behind the scenes story of the Backstreet Boys. We have been following your career and we are confident that you are the proper person to fufill this opportunity for us. You are unbiased and young and will be able to offer us the full story as you are touring with the band and are in close contact with them.

While we know that you have been offered quite an opportunity by your current employer we are willing to give you the entire Entertainment section and full national coverage for your expose on the Backstreet Boys. Not only are we poised to offer you the national story but our monetary offer is a million dollars and a weekly column in the New York Times.

We look forward to hearing from you to discuss this offer."

"A million dollars to write an expose on the boys." Abbie thought to herself. She heard a knock at her door and she quickly stuffed the registered letter back into her laptop case and ran to answer the door. "Hi baby" Abbie kissed Howie and tried to calm herself down as he held her hand and walked into her suite.

"I am beat..can I crash here for a bit?" Howie lay down on her couch and pulled her down on top of him." Abs I need some lovin"

"So you came to me..I thought you said you were beat" Abbie said as she propped herself up on one elbow and ran her fingers over his face as she stared into his eyes.

"I am beat, thank God we have an off day tonight and tomorrow, speaking of which what are we going to do?" Howie nipped at her lips as he asked her.

"I was thinking that maybe you and I would spend the day in bed, alternating between sheet clutching passion and total exhaustion"

"Don't tease me like that Abbie, not that I am complaining" Howie buried his hands in her hair and pulled her lips down to meet his. They had yet to be intimate but both of them knew that they would not be able to hold out much longer. They had been very careful about only letting the Boys know that they were a couple. Kevin had been upset at first but he and Abbie were now extremly close. The boys knew how important it was that management not find out about Howie and Abbie because that would spell disaster for Abbie's job with the Boys. Howie leaned his back onto the arm rest and closed his eyes.

"Baby how do I do this without hurting you and the other guys?" Abbie rested her head on his cheek and closed her eyes to try to visualise the solution.
