The castle looked magical, all illuminated with candles and white chiffon hanging from the stone ruins. The alter was set up under the last peice of the magnificent stone roof that was left. The castle we had stumbled upon in Kerry looked so mystical and beautiful, something out of our dreams and would form the perfect setting for our wedding, our declaration of love for one another.
I caught my mom's eye and blew her a kiss, winking to let her know that I was alright. The soft strains of Irish on the Lake filled the night air and my breath dissapated as I caught the first glimpse of my beautiful bride. Her long red hair was loose, hanging down her back in a magnificent web of curls, her skin looked even more milky under the candlelight and the muted green in her dress brought out her eyes to dangerous levels of emeralds. She clutched the delicate bouquet of pussy willows, a touching sentiment and reminder of her deceased grandmother's passion for the flower. Her eyes never wavered from mine as she floated down the aisle, he lips formed a beautiful and radiant smile and her eyes projecting to me her love and happiness. I walked down the 3 crumbling steps to meet her and held out my hand to her and kissed it. My eyes drank in the beautiful figment she made and I cracked a smile when I saw the lifesaver around her neck. I reached into my shirt and pulled out the identical lifesaver and smiled "Can't leave home without it" We walked hand in hand up to the alter and listened to the words that the priest spoke.

"Keavy, as we stand here underneath the magnificent Irish sky, in the castle that filled our dreams and the people who love us I want to tell you how much I love you, I love you for your beautiful and mysterious eyes that offer me the passage to read what is in your heart, I love you for always making me smile no matter what crisis I am, I love the way your body feels in my arms and the way your hair tickles my nose as we sleep.
”Emerald you have brought so much love into my life in such a short period of time. I often lie awake at night and fight my eyes to stay open so I can watch you sleep, god has given us such a precious gift and I don't want to waste one precious second. I try to reason with myself that you have to be a dream, that noone could be as loving, as caring and as perfect as you are. Whenever your lips touch mine or your smile finds its way into my mind I know that you are real. I thank god everyday that you are real.
”I promise to spend the rest of my life making you laugh, making you feel loved. I won't ever take one moment with you for granted and I will spend eternity making our love grow. We have found each other among the stars and I won't ever let you go.”

"Alex...my big strong yank.
”God how I love you. As I look around I can't help but pinch myself. Can this really happening to me...to Keavy Geraldine O'Carroll, a plain jane Irish gal.
”You have made me belive in fairy tales, made me believe that writing about prince charmings and far off places were worth it.
”I can't offer you much, just my patience, my understanding and my love." Keavy reached towards my face and gently wiped the tears that were falling from my eyes and squeezed my hand.
”I love you with everything pure that is in me and I hope I can make you happy forever. Thank you Alex for making my dreams come true.”

As I looked out into the audience there was not a dry eye in the house. Everyone was moved to tears after hearing our expressions of love. I turned back towards Keavy and took the ring that Howie held out to me. I had designed it with Nick's help late one night while we were in Austria. It was platinum and etched into the band was a four leaf clover made out of diamonds and engraved were forever 2000....yank. As I slipped the ring onto her slender finger my heart started to race, in mere seconds I would lift the veil and the priest would declare us husband and wife and seal our bond forever.
She kissed the wide band, engraved with forever 2000....Emerald, before she put it on my finger, looking out into the audience where her mother and father were clutching hands and crying. She smiled and waited with baited breath for the announcement that we were husband and wife.

"I now pronounce you man and wife, you may kiss the bride" My hands shook as I reached forward and gathered the veil into my hands, lifting it up and placing it on her head. My hands instantly fell still and steady as they cupped her face and our lips touched in our first kiss as a married couple. Her hands settled on my chest "As if you tried to slip me the tongue in front of my parents" Keavy teased as I hugged her tight.
I laughed, she was one in a million, my one in a million.
