I paid my bill, leaving a huge tip and walked past the beautiful woman.
"I hope to see you again soon, yank" she grinned, her whole face lit up and her eyes twinkled.
"I am sure you will" I walked out of the bakery and decided to check out the jewelry shop across from the bakery. The sounds of fiddles, harps and pipes welcomed me to the store, I stared at the jewelry, so many interesting designs to look at. A beautiful cross caught my eye and I picked it up to get a closer look at it. The intricate details were astounding.
"It's a celtic cross" the woman explained.
"I'll take it" I handed her the correct money and took the bag from her. My mother would love it. I looked at my watch and saw that it was nearly 6, I would have just enough time to jump in the shower and change clothes before I met Howie at the pub. I walked by the bakery again and was surprised when the woman waved at me and smiled. I smiled to myself and walked towards the hotel.

"Bone the market was incredible, oh my god their knitted stuff is fabulous. I have to bring some wool back to the states for my mom. Hey did you know that sweaters are called jumpers here?" Howie was talking a mile a minute, anxious to fill me in on what Dublin had to offer.
"Howie, I met a woman" I said.
"Really, what was she the housekeeper?" he teased.
I grinned "No actually I dragged my ass out of bed and came across a bakery, oh my god Howie the food was incredible there, anyway this woman served me, god she is beautiful D, her accent is so sexy, her hair, oh my god her hair is like flames and she is covered in freckles. She is so amazing."
"AJ, only you could pick up a girl in less then 4 hours in a strange country. So did you get her name?"
"No, but I know where she works, hey Howie, I think tomorrow I will introduce you to the bakery" I grinned and turned my attention to the group on stage.

"Amazing, the more drunk they get the raunchier the songs and the louder they get" The 5 men on stage were now singing rebel songs and we could hardly make out what they were saying.
"Irish like their ale, what can I say?" I froze, it was her voice. I looked up and in spite of myself I smiled widely.
"Hello" I jumped up and pulled out a chair for her.
"Thank you" her smile filling her face " So we meet again." she held out her hand "I never got your name, I am Keavy"
"Alex, AJ, and this is my best friend Howie"
"Keavy?, that is an unusual name"
"Maybe in America but here in the north it is pretty popular. So are you enjoying yourselves?"
"We are, these guys are hilarious and the beer is great" Howie held up his tall pint of Guiness.
"Bey Jaysus, you can tell you are foreign" Keavy teased.
"Why?"
"The tourists are the only ones who actually think Guiness is excellent. The stuff tastes like tar, give me a Kilkenny anyday" Keavy motioned for the bartender to pour her a pint. "Jaysus that will put hair on your chest" she grinned as Howie gulped it down.
"I guess I should be thankful then that you don't like it" I teased. Her hair was tied up and I wished that the clip that was holding her hair hostage would slip and release her crowning glory.
"How about I take you to a real party" Her hand touched mine, sending shocks down my back.
"I am game" I said a little too quickly.
"As long as there is Guiness I am in" Howie slurred.
"Let me call my friends to see where the hell they are and then we can go" she left the table and walked to the payphone.
"Bone she is hot"
"I know Howie." I watched her chew her bottom lip, throw her hands up in the air in frustration and let them come to rest on her hips, her left foot tapping the floor impatiently. She hung up and walked over to us. "Is everything alright?" I asked.
"Ah the bitches, they hooked up with some limeys and canned me. Well fellas it looks like it is just you and me, think you can handle me?" Her eyebrows wiggled and her eyes were filled with mischief.
"With pleasure" I answered, holding out my hand to hers.

"Parking spots in Dublin are damn near impossible to find. So one day me wife and I were walking and I spotted a parking spot. So I told me wife to lay down in the spot until I came back. She asked me why and I said I am going to run home and get the car" the pub erupted in hoots and hollers as the old comedian belted out his one liners. I watched with amusement as Keavy threw her head back and snorted. We had been listening to the comedian for the past hour and I was surprised that she had not yet peed her pants or combusted from her laughter. She had a hearty laugh, one that came from the belly and it was driving me wild. She caught my eye and winked at me.

"So AJ, Howie, what brings you to the emerald island?" We were walking in the dampness, on the way to where her car was parked.
"We came on vacation, Howie is part Irish and wanted to see part of his heritage, I just tagged along"
She mumbled something softly and I smiled when I heard it. I pretended that I hadn't heard her confession, hadn't heard her say “I am glad that you came as his carry on luggage.” We came to the parking lot where her car was and Howie, taking the hint walked on ahead. I stood close to her, leaning on the door of her car. "Keavy thank you for a wonderful evening"
"No AJ thank you, my friends would rather keel then go see a comedian, I had a wonderful time"
I opened her car door for her and held it open as she slid in. "Night Keavy" I said softly and started to close the door. Her foot stopped it however and she stood back up, her next move took me by surprise as she kissed the corner of my mouth and pressed a piece of paper into my palm "If you want a tour guide call me, I have already asked Nuala for the rest of the week off" and she sat back in her car and closed the door, leaving me standing with a goofy grin on my face.
