"I am registered at the Days Plaza," Skylar told the cab driver. She admired the green grass and the beautiful flowers that were in bloom. She took off the jacket that she had worn that was now wrinkled and wet with perspiration. She was so used to the cold and dreary Ottawa days that she had forgotten that it was 75 degrees in Florida. The dry, humid air had hot her hard when she got off the plane and she had immediately tied up her long brown hair to keep the sweat from drenching her hair. She had supposed to have left the previous day but some urgent matters had come up and she had been forced to postpone till today.

"Why do we all have to be there to meet this woman, you are our manager, you can do the negotiating," Nick whined.
"I want you all there in case you have questions for Miss Lawson," Trudy scolded.
The guys were assembled at their record company waiting for the woman from the shelter to arrive. The receptionist buzzed that there Skylar had arrived and sent her in.
The door opened and a very petite brunette walked in. She was dressed in a very well cut red business suit. Her long, thick hair was pinned up in a loose twist and she had sunglasses perched on her head. "Hi I am Skylar Lawson," she extended her hand to Trudy, who in turn asked her to sit.
"Skylar this is AJ, Brian, Howie, Nick and Kevin," Skylar smiled at all the men and her gaze lingered a tad longer on the very handsome brunette with the wonderful bone structure.
Skylar gave them a quick overview on the Shelter and then proceeded with the plans for the fund raising evening. "We thought that we would have a black tie dinner and silent auction and then have a concert by you."
"I think it is a wonderful idea, will the concert be a free one or will it be only for the people at the dinner?" Kevin asked.
"We are batting that around, but we figure that we might like to just open it to the people who will be paying a substantial amount of money to dine with you, unless you would like it open to the public."
"It is a fund raiser right, well then I think we should sell tickets and people who want to pay can come," Howie smiled.
"Great, well I will send you the finalized agenda for the evening and send it to you all for your approval," Skylar shook hands with everyone and walked out.

"She is very beautiful," Kevin thought to himself as he watched the petite woman walk out of the room.

Skylar sat on the beach with her laptop and typed a message to her email friends.
"I sit here and instead of the cold, and furious wind that I have grown so accustom to, I am now blessed with a gentle and friendly warm breeze. I am smiling as I feel the hot sun shining down on my bare back. The birds are flying in the clear blue sky and beside me a little boy is jumping up and down in the cool, crystal water. My shoulders are glistening with sweat and it is the closest feeling of bliss that I have known in a long time. God definitely creates miracles and Orlando is one of them. How can one side of the earth be so calming and beautiful while the other is so mean and dark. I dread going back to the menacing city that is my home. Maybe if I wish long and hard enough that a seagull will pick me up on his wing and fly me to my own deserted paradise, where I can soak up the sun, swim in the ocean and read all the books I want without worrying about deadlines and mortgage payments.”

Kevin was checking his email when he remembered that he had not checked the list that morning. He surfed in and felt his pulse quicken when he saw a message from the woman who called herself Dr. Lonely Heart. He gasped when he read that she was in Orlando. He searched for clues on who she was, but she left nothing. He smiled as he read how happy she was being there.
"Who is she??" Kevin wondered aloud. Kevin decided to send back a reply.
He called himself Paging Dr. Lonely Heart and he wrote,
"I too long for that special gift this Christmas. I dream that the angels will come down from heaven and bring with them the woman I have dreamed about every night since I became aware of what love was. I crave a woman who understands my thinking, yearns for my passion and who's smile will warm up my heart and brighten my long and monotonous days.I pray every night that when I wake up she will be lying beside me. My wish for you is that you get the love that you deserve."
He pressed send and hoped that his message would find her.
