”Ashes to Ashes, dust to dust..we commend Alexander's body back to the earth.” The priest blessed the coffin and walked away.
Allie and Alicia hugged each other tight. They had just buried their mother and were now burying their father. The week had been a blur to the twins and they had been each other's support from the night they were awoken in their dorm room to be told that their parents had been killed in a hit and run accident, to planning the funeral and now to the final goodbyes.
"Your parents were beautiful people and I am sure their legacy will live on in the both of you." Mrs. White from down the street hugged and kissed the girls.
The girls held hands as they said a final goodbye to their father.
"Daddy, we love you very much, you have made us proud to call you daddy and we promise we won't ever let you down. We will finish college and continue the legacy that you started 15 years ago, we will make sure that Dawson and Associates maintain the level of client respect that you always strived for." Allie broke down
"Poppa I love you and I promise that I will protect Allie always and I promise I will always watch for her, please take care of Momma, I know she must be very worried about us, but we are your daughters, we are strong like you and we will manage...We won't let you down...Please promise us that you will watch out for us, and guide us to make the right decisions...We love you and Momma and we will make you proud."
The 2 girls walked hand in hand to the waiting car.

" Hi Caroline...I just wanted to let you know that we are starting our North American tour next month...It is so big...God how I miss you, I need to hear you tell me that my hair is too long or that I am singing off key..." Howie wiped the tears from his eyes..."I love you...the kids are doing well, Polly is starting to record and I am helping her...It should be fun... Well I just wanted to check in with you and give you a weekly update...I Love you."
Howie placed the roses on the ground and kissed the tombstone..He
visited
his sister's grave whenever he could, He knew she was watching out for
him
but he felt that when he was at her grave he could hear her talking to
him,
and he could hear the sweet ring of her laugh...Howie wiped the grass
and
dirt off his pants and walked to the car.
