Allie was on her way back from class. She had gotten her term paper back and she had done poorly on it, her professor had stopped her after class and told her that if she wanted to rewrite it she could without any penalty.." I guess I will be camped out in front of the computer this weekend." Allie thought glumly.
Her thoughts had been consumed by very attractive latin man she had met that morning..He had never told her what he was doing at the cemetary that morning...The wind had gotten cooler and she wrapped her coat tighter around her body and started to walk faster. She was out of breath when she reached her house. She was surprised to see Howie's car still parked in the driveway..She smiled and opened the door.
"Chia I am home" Allie used her pet name for her sister.
Alicia and Howie walked into the hall to meet her.
"Hi Allie, how did your paper go?" Alicia kissed her sister.
" I did horrible but Professor Baker is letting me resubmit it, which means I will be parked at the computer all weekend."
"Really, that's too bad...Howie just asked me and you to go to a party tonight at a friend's house.." Alicia silently prayed that her sister would agree to go to the party.
"Hmmm a party, well I guess I could use some cheering up..so where is this party?" Allie asked Howie.
"My best friend AJ Lives on the beach and he is throwing it, he is the craziest guy I know...his parties are legendary..so will you come?" Howie asked Allie.
"I guess the statute of limitations paper can wait..What time would you like us there?"
"Here is the address, it starts around 10...I can't wait for you to meet my friends...see you soon." Howie smiled at the girls and left.
"Well Allie, we told dad we would get on with our lives, here is our
chance
to start our new lives with a bang." Alicia hugged her sister.
