Allie and Chia were eating dinner when they heard the glass patio door break and shatter on the kitchen floor. The girls looke dat each other alarmed and ran to signal the undercover police officer who was in the basement.
Chia was walking towards the family room (the dedicated central meeting place for the twins and the detective) when she felt rough hands grab her and reach for her throat. Chia's eyes welled with tears and she started to have an asthma attack.
"Shut up or I will slit your throat, bitch" the man hissed in her ear.
Chia was silent as she tried to calm her exploding lungs, she clawed at his hands trying to get them away from her throat, so she could get the air that her lungs were screaming for.
"Chia.....Mike (the detective)" Allie whispered softly as she made her way towards the family room. She wished that Chia hadnt turned off the lights when they heard the glass breaking but she knew that the darkeness was necessary so that they were not seen by the intruder.
Chia was getting light headed and she knew that if she didn't get her pump that she was going to die. She saw her parents faces and heard her dad tell her to calm down and take small breaths to help conserve the little air she had left in her lungs. Chia thought of AJ and the night that they sailed under the stars, the night at the awards when he told her he loved her in front of the world. She prayed that god would see it fit to help her survive this and let her live with AJ forever.

The man released his grasp on Chia's throat "Make a peep and I will cut out your tongue" he hissed. Chia nodded her head and pointed to her purse that was sitting on the steps. "I need my inhaler...I am having an attack" she said softly, gasping between words.
The man sneered and handed her the purse "I dont want you to die, I want your sister to watch as I slit you from nose to hip" Chia was shaking as she inhaled her medicine. She slowly started to breathe normally as the medicine cleared her lungs. She felt the knife press into her back as the man forced her to walk down the hallway. Chia said a silent prayer, praying that Allie would not run right into the intruder.

Detrective Mike told Allie to hide behind the couch, he cocked his gun and stood at the doorway, waiting for the intruder.
Allie was shaking, praying that Chia would not be caught in the crossfire, she wished Howie was there to help her but he had to go back out on tour, he had fought with his managers but they insisted that he return to the band. Allie started to hum the song that her mother used to sing to her when she was upset "You're never fully dressed without a smile...who cares what you're wearing, form Broadway to Banner road, it's what you were from ear to ear and not from head to toe, that matters."

The man pulled Chia along the floor and he stopped when he heard shuffling..He put Chia in front of him and placed the knife up against her throat.
"Hey you redheaded bitch, I have your most prized possesion, it's your sister....come out and I won't hurt her, I will hurt you!!!" The man screamed.
Allie started to cry and she buried her face in her knees, she would die along with her sister if he harmed Chia...

Mike saw the shot, Chia had moved her head a slight bit and had left
the
intruder open, Mike aimed and fired, and Chia screamed as the blood of
the
man splattered all over her.
vAllie ran from her hiding place and into the arms of her crying
sister.The 2
hugged as the listened to Mike call for the chief and the coroner. The
hugged each other tight and thanked God for keeping them safe.
