Chapter 48 vAfter the awards show Drew and his bandmates, along with their dates walked back through the horde of reporters, answering questions as quickly as they could, trying to get to the after party. Claudia Cohen met them inside and asked the group about their win and then turned her attention to Drew and Allie, "Drew is this the special lady that you thanked in your acceptance speech?" Drew looked at Allie before answering, she smiled and squeezed his hand "yes this is Allie Dawson." "Are the 2 of you dating?" "No we are just very close friends" "Allie rumor has it that you and Howie broke up, does this frienship have anything to do with this breakup?" "Of course not Howie and I decided to take a break and concentrate on our careers, Howie will always hold a special place in my heart, as will Drew, thank you but we are going to our table now" Allie smiled and pulled Drew away from the reporter.

"You are becoming a pro at this" Drew whispered.

"Now baby promise me you will take it easy on Allie, she is here as a friend of Drew's, it is her business who she wants to come with, Howie is accepting it" Chia whispered to AJ as they made their way to their table.

" I will try monkey I will try" AJ kissed his beautiful redheaded girlfriend.

Nick and Mandy were talking to Mariah Carey when Nick saw Allie and Drew.

"Hey you, you never told me how long you are in town for" Nick asked Allie

" I leave tommorrow morning at 8 am, I have to get back for the case, this is a fast business trip" Allie grinned.

" Well then don't make any plans after this, I will be coming over and we will catch up at your hotel room." Nick kissed Allie and walked away.

"Aren't you the popular and social butterfly" Allie turned around and saw Howie standing behind her.

"Howie.."

"Hi sweet pea, I had to come over and talk to you, tell you how absolutely beautiful you look tonight, "

"Thank you Howie, you look handsome yourself. Let's go and sit down and talk okay?" Allie looked at Howie.

"No let's go out onto the terrace and talk, there is media all over this place trying to get the inside track on this so called 98* and BSB scandal" Howie took Allie's hand and the two walked outside.

"Howie I hope you realise that Drew and I are here as friends, he asked me and I said yes, if you had of asked I would have come."

"Allie we are split up, I have had a rough couple of days, my god we are even on the net, the rumors are outrageous, my god I never thought we would have to deal with this" Howie started to cry.

"Howie, you are my best friend, besides Nick and Chia you are the only one who knows the struggle I have gone through, my god you are the reason I am where I am today, no matter what the future holds I want us to always be best friends, I would fall apart if I dont' have you there to pick up the pieces and to push me to confront my fears, if you need me just call and I will come running..I love you and always will, I just can't love you fully right now" Allie hugged Howie

"Allie I will always love you, and I will wait for you..." Howie kissed Allie's forehead and held the door open for Allie, "Now let's get back in there before more rumors start"
