Nick was staring at the phone, not saying a word when Jessi and Howie walked into his suite. "Frack what the hell are you doing?" Howie asked.
Nick continued to stare at the phone without acknowledging his friends. Jessi laid her hands on his shoulder "Nick is something wrong?"
His eyes fluttered and he turned to her "Kim...Kim Ann...she wants another baby"
"What? Buddy that's great, god knows the two of you make beautiful children..hey how the hell did that conversation come up?"
"One minute I was talking to Alex and Molly and the next she blurted out that she wanted another baby. D it's not that I don't want any more kids but we aren't married"
Howie sat down beside his friend "Nicky who cares if you aren't married. You two are so in love, hell I never thought I would ever see you settle down but here you are, you have a sucessful girlfriend who is juggling work and raising your beautiful children while you are off fufilling your dreams. Buddy I would say that thousands of guys wish they were in your situation. Did you talk to her about her confession?"
"No, she blew it off and left me to talk to the kids. They got an earlier flight and are coming down next week so I guess the number one thing on our agenda is to talk things over"
"I am sure once you tell her everything and hear her feelings, everything will be back to normal." Howie patted his friend's thigh and smiled. "Aything else?"
Nick lied and shook his head.

"Kev your letter was beautiful baby, I don't want you to quit your career for me and the kids though. We can manage while you are away. I am not thrilled with the idea but I can get through it." Skylar was talking to Kevin. She had awoken on Hannah's floor and after she re read the letter she called her husband.
"Skylar I just want us to be happy again. I miss all the good times, the times where we would take the kids and go to the park for a picnic, getting dressed up, leaving the kids with a babysitter and spending the evening falling in love all over again. Most of all I miss reaching for you in the middle of the night and letting my hand come to rest on the small of your back and knowing that when I wake you will look up at me and tell me you love me." Kevin was near tears as he talked to his wife.
"Kevin I miss all that too, and I have come to the conclusion that we lost ourselves in the shuffle. Between ballet and football, to girl scouts and midnight feedings, we lost our love and our private time. We need to make a pledge to spend an hour a night with each other. We got so wrapped up in our kids that we forgot about us. Come home soon baby"
"Skylar I have already talked to my mom and she has agreed to watch the kids. I am sending you a plane ticket, and I want you to come down with Kim Ann and twins and spend some time with me. We need it baby, we need to be able to spend some time with our friends like old times."
"I couldn't leave the kids Kev...I couldn't leave them here while you and I are off having fun and pretending that we are still a young, married couple with no kids and no responsibilty"
"We need this Sky, we need to get away from the madness and chaos of our lives and join each other in a calm and peaceful setting."
"Kevin I want to come down so bad but I don't feel right about leaving the kids."
"I am sending you the ticket and if you decide to use it great, if not oh well...I love you Skylar Lawson Richardson"
"I love you too Kevin Richardson"

"Girl are you insane?" Crissy shrieked "As if you just blurted that out"
"Gee thanks for making me feel better..excuse me for a moment..Alexander put that bucket of mud down...NOW" Kim Ann turned her attention away from her friend and screamed at her son who was about to toss a bucket of mud on his sister and her friend who were quietly playing with their Sailor Moon dolls.
"Aww momma I wasn't going to throw it, I was just lifting it so i could get muscles like daddy and Uncle Howie" AJ said with a devilish grin.
"HE is Nick to the backbone, girl how the hell do you do it, the two of them in the same house?" Crissy laughed as she watched her friend watch her son out of the corner of her eyes.
"I honestly think that sometimes AJ and Molly are what keeps me from missing Nick. AJ has his evil and devilish attitude and Molly has his puppy dog eyes and his laugh. Is it bad to love them as much as I do...do I border on compulsive overlover mommy syndrome?"
Crissy, Kim Ann and Sarah burst out lauughing. "So tell me about the dress girl" Kim Ann changed the subject to her friend's upcoming wedding.
"It is really plain but classy at the same time, I really cannot describe it, you will have to come over and see it."
"If I had ever thought that introducing you to Brent would have led to you two getting married I would have called myself crazy." Kim Ann giggled.
"It is funny actually, I hated him when I first met him, the way he looked at me made my skin crawl and I always thought that it was disgusting the way he used Nick's fame to get himself laid, but honestly after I got past the sexual escapades and the bullshit exterior I found a man who was romantic and who wanted nothing more than to settle down and get married." Crissy's face was flushed with happiness and her eyes reflected the love and excitement she felt for her fiancee.
"Well I know the hotochies damn near wet their pants when I called them..Andie almost passed out and Vero almost fell off of her chair. Can you believe that we have all stuck together all these years?" Sarah said.
"You know without the hootchies I really don't know if I would have survived these 5 years. Mary was there when i needed late night advice about the croup. Andie and Kel are always there for a perverted comment or belly laugh, Vero, Jenn and Lisa are always there when I have had a hard day and who can forget the belly dance I did for Nick for his birthday...I am forever grateful to Sammie for teaching me to do that. Then of course there is Jessi, Skylar, you and Crissy. You girls were there for me when I was petrified that I would be a horrible parent, you held my hand and let me cry when Nick and I fought and most of all you got me through the nights when I was missing Molly so much that I thought I would drown myself in my own tears." KIm Ann smiled fondly at her friends "Enough with this sappy shit, let's drop the twins off at Jane and Bob's and go shopping. I want to get some sexy lingerie for my trip to see Nick"
"Girl you are going to be squeezed into a bunk with him, surronded by all the guys, there will be no time or space to do anything" Sarah explained.
Kim Ann winked "Have you forgotten who you are talking to? This is Nick and I that you are talking about, may I remind you of the coat check room at the bar, the golf cart on the 16th hole..shall I go on" she said with an evil grin.
"No, that fine...You know Kymmi there are just some things that I don;t want
to know and that is one of them" Crissy winked at her friend and went to
scoop up Alex.
