Nick surveyed the plane and smiled. The candles were attatched to the seats and the lights in the cabin were dimmed. His girlfriend hated balloons so the plane was free of them. The music was playing softly and her friends were sitting in the leather seats anxiously awaiting her arrival so that they could take off. This would be a surprise party she would not soon forget.

Kim Ann straigtned her dress and touched up her lipstick as she waited for Nick to come back from the errand he had to run. The two of them were going out for dinner for her birthday and she was anxioulsy waiting to see where he was going to take her. She had bathed the twins and as she read them a bedtime story Alex had reached underneath his pillow and handed her a tiny box. "Happy birthday momma, Molly and I choosed this for you" Kim Ann gathered the twins into her lap and she kissed their shining blonde hair as she opened the box. She started to cry when she saw what was in it. She picked up the ring and slipped it onto her right finger. The twins, with the help of Nick had chosen a white gold band that held their 4 birthstones. Hers and Nicks' surrounded the twins'. "Daddy says that this is a family ring and since we are a family that you needed one..do you like it momma?" Molly asked softly.
"I love it" Kim Ann hugged her children tightly " I love this gift but you two are my favourite gifts that I have ever gotten"

Nick was walking down the hall to his suite when he said a silent prayer to his friends to help him have the courage to pull off what he had planned for his girlfriend that evening. "Bone I know that you know what I am planning tonight and I know that you are behind me, I wish you were here to pat my shoulder like you always did and tell me Come on Nicky you can do this...you da man..Chipper Kim Ann would want to share this moment with her, I know that when I ask her what I want to ask her that she will look out into the crowd and wish that her eyes would meet yours. I catch her often looking at Molly and I know that she is saying a silent prayer and wishing that you were here to share in our children's lives. I hope that when I ask Kim Ann that you will both be smiling down on us and sending us your blessings. I love you both" Nick walked into the suite and smiled as his girlfriend smoothed down her hair.
"You look so tasty I want to eat you" Nick whispered as he ran his hands up and down her back and chest.
"Maybe later, right now you owe me a dinner" Kim Ann kissed her boyfriend and took his hand.
"I see you liked the twins' gift" Nick commented as he saw the ring on her finger.
"Baby I love it, now take me for food or lose me forever" she smiled as they walked out of the suite, leaving Nikki, one of the dancers to watch their sleeping angels.

"This is different..how come we are here?" Kim Ann asked as Nick opened the door of the limo . "Why are we at an airport?"
"Baby I thought you said you trusted me? Come on silly follow me" Nick brought Kim Ann's hand up to his lips and kissed it, placed it on his chest and led her towards the plane that was idiling on the runway. He stood behind her, with his arms wrapped around her waist and opened the door.
"SURPRISE" the lights flew on and Kim Ann stood in awe as she saw all of her friends and family in the plane.
"You flew them all in for my birthday?" Kim Ann looked at her boyfriend with awe and kissed him "Nicky why? How did I ever get so lucky to have such a special man in my life?"
Nick cupped her face in his hands "Baby this is all for you, you have been so supportive of me and the twins and we wanted to do something special for you. Look around, all these people flew in to be with you, now go and enjoy yourself" Nick kissed her and then shooed her towards her friends. He watched as she sqeauled when she saw Andie, Sarah, Kel, Lisa, Mary, Sammie and Jenn waiting for her. They joined in a group hug and cried. They were all married and alot of them had careers and kids so they had not been able to get together for hootchipalooza for a couple of years. Nick knew though that now that they were all together they would make up for lost time. Jane walked over to where her son stood beaming and kissed his cheek "Nickolas I am so proud of you, look at how happy she is. Son I never thought I would ever say this but you have grown up..My baby is now a father and hopefully will be a husband soon"
"You can stop hinting mom, tonight is the night, I am going to ask Kim Ann to marry me" Nick smiled and hugged his mother.

Nick held Kim Ann's hand as the plane made its ascent. Kim Ann never took her eyes off of his as the plane leveled and the seatbelt light went off. "I love you Nick" she whispered as he held out his hand to help her out of her seat. "So where exactly are we going?"
"Impatient are we?" Nick teased "You will know in about 45 minutes" Nick kissed the tip of her nose and the two joined Skylar and Kevin and Howie and Jessi.
"You know how to throw a surprise Carter" Howie teased.
"Only the best for the angel of my heart" Nick kissed Kim Ann and smiled at his friends.

Kim Ann leaned into Nick's chest as they walked off the plane and into the waiting limos. The cold air whipped at the guests as they immerged from the planes. The fleet of limos followed behind one another in a funeral like procession. "So now are you going to tell me where we are?" Kim Ann pleaded with Nick.
"All in good time my precious, all in good time" Nick settled into the deep,luxerious leather of the limo and closed his eyes as the limo took them to their ultimate destination.

The limos pulled into the parking lot of the building and the guests climbed out. They followed Nick into the building and waited until he turned on the lights. They stood mesmorized as they took in the scene. The room was filled with pictures of Kim Ann, Nick, the twins and all their friends. "Whhhhat is this?" Kim Ann asked.
Nick smiled softly and led Kim Ann over to a chair and kissed her "Just sit back and I promise this will all make sense soon" Nick winked and then stood in front of her. "Kymmi you and I have been together for 5 years, we have shared the most incredible times and we are the reason that the two most incredible human beings are gracing our lives with humor, smiles and love. Look around at these pictures, can you see how happy you make me? All these pictures of me and the twins, those smiles are because of you. Baby when we had the twins I thought that my life was complete, but I was wrong. I want us to be a family. A family with the same name. I want to have a hundred more kids with you Kymmi, because long after you and I have left this earth our legacy will live on in our children and grand children. Our children will be the messangers of our love. Baby I brought you to Paris, the city of love, with all the people who you care about, in front of all of them I want to ask you to marry me..Will you marry me?" Nick got down on one knee and held his crying girlfriend's hand and smiled.
Kim Ann never looked at the ring, didn't see her friends and family crying, all she saw was the man she loved, tears streaming down his face asking her to marry him. She gathered him in her arms and the two of them fell to the ground kissing and crying.
"It's about time" Jane cried to Bob, who held her tight.
"Thank god she said yes" Howie and Jessi whispered.
Denise wiped the tears from her eyes and looked up to the heavens "Alex this
love affair is because of you and Molly. I miss you both so much"
