Kim Ann kicked off her shoes and rubbed her aching feet "Why the hell I insist on wearing these goddamn heels is beyond me" she threw her briefcase on the kitchen table and smiled when she saw the dishes washed and drying in the dish rack. She saw the television turned on but there was no sign of Nick or the kids. She walked upstairs and heard the kids laughing and Nick reading them a story. She walked to the open door "So this is where my family is"
"MOMMA..." Molly jumped out of her parents' bed and ran into Kim Ann's outstretched arms.
"Hi Miss Mew" Kim Ann hugged her daughter tight and walked over to where her boyfriend and son were sitting "How are my two favourite men?" she kissed the top of Alex's head and leaned in to brush her lips against Nick's.
"Crawl into bed mommy, we were waiting for you, daddy says we can all sleep in the one bed together" Alex said excitedly.
"Did daddy make you brush your teeth?" Kim Ann looked at Nick with an amused expression.
"Yes..go put on your jammies momma and we can read a nighttime story before bed" Molly whispered.
"Okay, momma will be right back" Kim Ann put Molly into bed and grabbed some of her gramma pjs, as Nick liked to call them. "It's not like there will be any romance tonight so I might as well be comfy"

"Brian I just don't know what to do, Sky is so moody, she is constantly jumping all over me and snapping at the kids" Kevin and Brian were sitting at the bar having a beer and talking about Kevin's problem.
"Kev I think she is just tired, you are off recording the new album and doing promotional stuff and she is left with the kids. She is having a rough time with this baby. Cut her some slack"
"I know Bri, my mom and Tracy have been lecturing me like crazy, I just miss the old romantic, and beautiful Skylar."
"If anyone can get through this you and Skylar can, make her tell you what is wrong." Brian hugged his cousin.

"I bet Polly is so ecstatic" Howie and Jessi were sitting in a booth in the back corner of their favourite resteraunt. It was the most intimate table there was and Herve always reserved it for them. The candle flickered on their faces and the red wine they had drunk with dinner had given them a flush to their faces. They were sitting snuggled close together and catching up on their day.
"She is so happy, I cannot believe that JIVE signed her to a 3 record deal. She is so excited." Howie kissed Jessi's neck "So how was your day?" he asked softly.
"Well I am reading over the changes to the gallows that Mark made and I cannot wait to start the changes so that this book can finally be released. I never knew that publishing a book could take so long"
"The best things always take the longest to achieve Jess" Howie's hand ran up and down his wife's thigh and he felt her temperature rise at his touch "How about you and I go home and take out some of our good news on one another" he whispered.
Jessi smiled softly and kissed her husband "Thats exactly what the doctor ordered" and the couple walked out hand in hand.

Skylar was reading to Hannah when Kevin came into her bedroom "Hi daddy"
"Hi poohbear" Kevin kissed Skylar's shoulder and then sat down on Hannah's bed. "what are you and mommy reading?"
"School work, we are reading Ramona for school" Hannah snuggled in closer to her father, there was no denying that she was definatly Kevin's girl.
"Well mommy and I need to talk so do you think you can finish this up on your own?"
"Sure" Hannah was now 8 and she knew that things were not great between her parents. "You and Mommy go talk"
Skylar and Kevin kissed her and then closed her door. "Why the hell would you tell her that?" Skylar raged at Kevin as they stood in the hallway "She is just a kid, she doesn't need to know that something is wrong"
"Baby she is 8 years old, she knows something is wrong, she called Kymmi yesterday and asked her why we were fighting all the time..Baby I need to know what is wrong...why are you so mad at me all the time?" Kevin looked into his wife's eyes and pleaded for an answer.

"I see Mommy is wearing her comfie pjs" Nick muttered as Kim Ann immerged from the bathroom and climbed into bed.
"I was coming home to make up for being late, but since you invited the munchkin patrol to join us I figured there was no use wasting my lingerie for them" Kim Ann teased Nick and kissed him. "So daddy what are we reading?"
"The Tale of Peter Rabbit" Molly answered as she snuggled into Kim Ann and rested her head on her mom's stomach and before Nick could start reading Molly was sound asleep. "Hey little man why don't you scootch over and let Daddy breathe" Kim Ann teased her son. He was Nick's shadow and always wanted to be close to him. AJ snuggled in close to his twin sister and he too was sound asleep. "
Nick looked at his two children who were sleeping on his girlfriend and his
heart filled with love. He crawled across the bed and kissed his two
children goodnight and then brushed his lips against Kim Ann's "Thank you
for giving me this moment." Kim Ann smiled and cupped her hands in his and
as their forheads touched and their children slept between them they too
were soon asleep.
