One month later
"Well where is she?" Kevin was standing in the lobby of Skylar's office, demanding to know where his wife was. He had popped in after the meeting at Jive and now noone could tell him where Skylar was.
"Mr Richardson you can go and wait in your wife's office if you like" Marie, the receptionist offered, trying to calm him down.
Kevin smiled at the woman and then sat himself at his wife's desk. He spotted her palm pilot and with aprehension started to snoop. He clicked on that days' appointments. "Hmm meeting with Max, meeting with the shelter's attorney, lunch with S..who the hell is S?" Kevin threw the palm pilot down and his mind drifted back to the conversation that he had the previous evening with Denise.
"Kevin I wish I could tell you that there was no way that Sky would cheat on you but sweets I can't." Denise said, knowing that the man who was like a son to her was in agony.
"Denise I am so scared, I thought that when she came to see me on tour that we had patched up whatever was bothering her. I am so confused" Kevin started to break down at his confession. "Hannah won't talk to Sky and when I ask her why she is mad at her mother she changes the subject. Denise Hannah knows something and she won't tell me."
"Hun have you confronted Skylar about your worries?"
"She just gets mad and accuses me of being possesive and jealous. We haven't made love in a month, she barely touches me and she is always making excuses about why she can't spend time with me. Dammit is it too much to ask her to love her husband" Kevin threw himself into Denise's arms and cried like a lost child.
"Honey I need to tell you something" Denise proceeded to tell him about the episode in the apartment building and the gossip that their nanny was overheard spreading to Nick and Kim Ann's nanny, about the midnight rendez vous and the strange car that dropped of Skylar in the morning. Denise held Kevin tight "Alex I need you right now, tell me how I help your brother heal" Denise looked up to the sky and said a silent prayer.

"Spencer you can't imagine how hard it is for me. You get to go home and only have to deal with lying to your wife, I have to hide this from my children and Kevin." Skylar and Spencer were lying in each other's arms, in the rented hotel room. Skylar had confessed that the affair was getting too intense and too hard to keep from Kevin. She wanted to tell Kevin but she was afriad that he would keep the kids from her.
"Lying to my wife is not easy baby, everynight she kisses me and all I see is your face, when I run my hands through her hair, it is yours that I am imagining and when I make love to her, it is your body that I am making love to. The tormenting could end if you would tell Kevin that you are in love with me. I would leave Trudy this instant if you told me that you would marry me."
"Baby it is not that easy." Skylar broke out crying and buried her head in her lovers' chest.

"Momma is Matilda awake?" Molly put her head on her mother's stomach and listened for her sister's heatbeat.
Kim Ann tried not to laugh "Honey we don't know if this is a boy or a girl and you will not be able to feel the baby move for a couple of more months. The baby is only the size of a pea" Kim Ann tousled her daughter's hair and kissed her. Kim Ann had been suffering from naseua since day one and now that she was 2 months pregnant it was even worse. Her OB-GYN had put her on pills to help control it but it was so bad that she had taken a leave of absence from her job and was resting at home. Nick loved having her at home. He felt that as much time as he could spend with her before their baby was born was the best. He loved her so much that he hated leaving her alone for even an hour. Now that she was his fiancee he was more in love with her then ever before. It was a source of irritation for Kim Ann who was used to being independant and needed her space. "Molly how did you ever come up with the name Mathilda for the baby?"
"The movie daddy rented for us had a little girl with magical powers and she was called Mathilda. I want my sister to have magical powers so we can fly anytime we want to see Daddy" Molly giggled.
"You are one crazy little girl do you know that" Kim Ann gathered her daughter into her arms and kissed her.

"I must admit for the first time in my 20 years of my career, that you have me stumped. Howie your sperm count is above normal and Jessi everything is healthy and normal. You should be pregnant" The specialist looked over the file and then looked up at the worried faces of his patients. It had been a month since the tests were run and the results had come back negative. Jessi and Howie had been trying to conceive but to no avail. They were getting frustrated and were starting to take it out on each other.
"Doctor I just cannot figure out why we are not conceiving. We are doing everything as we were told and yet test after test we come back and we aren't pregnant" Jessi started to cry. "Let's try some more tests, there has to be something we are not seeing" The specialist booked them for more procedures and then discussed what he had planned for them.

Skylar tried to tidy her hair and ease her swollen, just kissed lips. She walked past the receptionist and scooped up her mail and messages out her in box and then walked into her office and closed the door. "BABY, you scared me, what are you doing here?" Skylar kissed Kevin and tried to calm her nerves.
"Can't I come and surprise my wife?" Kevin asked "But I guess the surprise was on me, wasn't it. You look out of breath honey, are you alright?"
"I am fine, I got caught in traffic and I am a bit flustered." Skylar tried to read her husband's expression but was not sucessful.
"Who did you go to lunch with Sky?"
"A friend, baby can we talk about this at home? I know where this is heading and I am not in the mood to listen to it, I have had a rough morning"
"I bet, yeah I can see how rough it would be on a person, what with sneaking around with a married man, trying to hide the hickeys from your loving husband and trying to ignore the fact that your 9 year old daughter knows what you are doing. Yes I can see why you are so flustered." Kevin was sceaming through his tears. "Skylar I gave you my heart, I gave you my trust and this is how you repay me, this is how you show your children that you love them, by cheating on me...HOW LONG HAS THIS BEEN GOING ON? HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN LIVING A LIE....HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN TARNISHING MY LOVE?"
"Baby I can explain..please Kevin listen to me, I love you" Skylar was hysterical as she grabbed at her husband.
"I want you out of the house, I am taking the kids to Denise's. I don't want my mom to know just yet, not until I figure out what to do." Keivn stormed out of the office leaving Skylar crying in a heap on the floor and then turned back and screamed with pity oozing from his voice, "I cannot believe that I actually fell in love with you, I cannot believe that I wished on stars and threw pennies in wishing wells. I should have known that true love was only a fairy tale" Kevin stormed past security and into the parking lot.
Marie ran over to Skylar and tried to soothe her "Mrs Richardson are you okay?"
All Skylar could do was cry.
