Kevin fiddled with the letter in his hands. The lillies of the valley were sitting beside him on the car seat. He had spent the majority of the day crouched beside AJ and Molly's grave, asking them what he should do and spilling out how lonely he was without Skylar in his life. He watched Skylar get into the cab and drive away. "Shit Richardson you blew it again" and he drove off.

Kim Ann walked into the resteraunt where Howie and Jessi were sitting. There was no sign of Nick, who was supposed to be picking up the twins and dropping them off at Nik's. "Hi sweetie, hi handsome" Kim Ann kissed her friends and sat down in the booth beside them.
"Do you want a drink?" Howie asked flagging down the waitress.
"A soda water with lime" Kim Ann smiled at the waitress and tried to tame her curls. "So how did the doctor's appointment go?" Kim Ann asked.
Howie started to fidget and ran his hand nervously up and down Jessi's arm and chewed on his bottom lip. "Umm we want to wait til Nicky gets here to discuss that"
Kim Ann knew by the nervous tone of his voice and the body language that the appointment had not gone as they had all hoped. "You are fine...aren't you?" Kim Ann asked.
"Hi beautiful, Hi D, Jessi as alsways you look fantastic" Nick kissed his girlfriend and slid into the booth beside her, wrapping his arm around her waist and pulled her in close to him. "God you are a sight for sore eyes" Nick nibbled on Kim Ann's lips, forgetting that his friends were sitting in the same booth.
Howie and Jessi held hands and smiled at the affection that their friends were showing. It was such a relief to see them so happy again. It had been touch and go after the miscarriage and they were all so happy to see the two so in love. "Nick, hey how did the meeting go?"
"It went better then I expected. Jive is seriously thinking of letting me buy out of my contract"
"I am so happy for you lil bro you deserve it" They all toasted to their good fortunes and then Nick brought up the reason they were there.
"So how did the appointment go?" Nick squeezed Kim Ann's shoulder as he waited for the response.
Howie looked at Jessi and smiled, nodding for her to go ahead.
"Well we found out that I will never be able to carry a baby to term, apparently my tubes are scarred." Howie kissed her and reassured her that it was okay to go on. "We did find out though that my eggs are healthy"
"What does that mean for you? I mean if you can't carry a baby to term how can having healthy eggs matter?" Nick asked confused.
Howie took over "Nick it means that we can extract those healthy eggs and mix them with my sperm and implant them in a surrogate."
"You mean have someone carry your baby..Are you insane?" Nick said, shocked.
"Nicky we are willing to do anything to make our dream of having a child of our own come true. We have tried everything else so why not this?" Howie tried to explain to Nick.
"Howie someone else is going to carry your baby, what the hell happens if that person decides to fall in love, bond and decided that she is not giving the baby up" Nick's voice rose above the dinner crowd and people were beginning to look over at the couples.
"Nick, honey your voice please" Kim Ann ran her hand over his face and smiled "Baby come on"
Howie smiled at Kim Ann and winked "We are confident that the person would give us the baby, we would have a contract of course. We want to make sure that the person who carries our child is in great health, is full of love, has had children of her own and is mentally stable."
"So who is doing this?"
"We wanted Polly but she is my blood and it is recommended that blood relatives not carry the baby, because of the chance of complications. We need someone who we are sure will take care of our child while it is growing inside of her, we need her to have a wonderful support system and we want her to be close with us, so we can go with her to doctor's appointments and be involved with every aspect of the pregnancy. Most of all we want the surrogate to be part of our family."
"D, where are you going to find someone like that, hell they would have to be a strong woman, someone filled with a lot of love and the ability to put you guys ahead of herself. This woman would have to be an angel sent down from heaven.
Howie and Jessi smiled at each other and let their friend ramble on. "What does this have to do with Kim Ann and I, did you need to tell us before anyone else?"
Kim Ann took a deep breath and blurted out "Nicky I think they want me to be
the surrogate"
