"Now I want you to promise me that you will be good for nanny and pappy." Nick was pulling into his parent's house, they had agreed, more than happily, to take the twins overnight so that Nick and Kim Ann could have the evening to themselves.
"Can I play with Uncle Aaron?" AJ asked from the backseat where he was playing with an action figurine.
"Yes but I don't want to come home and hear that you acted up, okay buddy?"
"Yep"
"NANNY...there's nanny" Molly screamed as she saw Jane walking towards the Durnango.
"There are my angels" Jane opened the door and scooped the twins into her arms. "Hi Nicky" she stretched to kiss her son's cheek.
"Nanny can you and I play hairdresser? Daddy won't play with me anymore" Molly pouted.
Nick smiled. "The last time we played you cut daddy's hair for real and he had to cut off all of his hair" he teased his daughter as he ran his fingers through his very short hair.
"Thanks again Mom, I really appreciate this" Nick hugged his mom "I have to get back to the house, Kim Ann will be getting back from shopping and I want to get everything ready" Nick climbed into the truck "Bye pumpkin, bye buddy..be good for nanny and pappy, I love you" Nick waved at the twins and drove off.
"Well I certainly hope that Nick is finally proposing to Kim Ann tonight, five years is far too long to be living like they have been." Jane thought to herself as she scooped up the twins and carried them into the house.

Jessi fixed her long hair and turned to look at herself in the mirror. The dress she had chosen was long and fitted so it showed off her neck and elongated her legs. She glanced at the tiny box on her dresser and smiled. It had taken her a long time to decide what she wanted to get Howie for their anniversary but after their fight the other day she knew that only one thing would make him entirely happy and she had decided to give it to him.

"Bye Skeelo..I will call you later and tell you what Nick has planned. Maybe we will ask Nikola to watch the twins and we can head over here and watch a movie or something." Kim Ann dropped off her friend and waited until she was inside before she drove off.
Skylar walked into the house and put the bags that she was carrying on the stoop of the stairs and walked into the backyard. She stopped when she saw Kevin talking to an attractive older woman. "What the hell?" Skylar cleared her throat and gave Kevin an icy glare when she caught his attention.
"Finally..Skylar I want you to meet Ria, Ria this is my wife Skylar" Kevin made the introductions and then sat down beside his wife on the chaise lounge. "Sky, Ria was recommended by Mel, Nick and Kymmi's nanny. I thought that maybe it is time to ease the pressure on you. Ria and I have been talking and she has some excellent references and qualifications." Kevin ran his hand up Skylar's back and let it rest on the base of her neck.
Skylar stared at her husband and smiled "Honey are you sure you are alright with this?"
" I want you to be happy and well rested, I think this is the solution"

Nick looked around the kitchen and counted off on his fingers. Wine, he had bought white wine to go with the fish, steamed vegetables, salad with sundried tomatoes and feta cheese and for dessert a tarte tartin. "Thank god Howie's mom is such an incredible cook" Nick said to himself as he straightened the table cloth and lit the candles."Nothing can go wrong tonight" he heard a car door slam and he ran to dim the lights and turn on Kim Ann's favourite Celine Dion cd. He stood against the wall in the living room and waited for his girlfriend to walk in.
Kim Ann walked into the darkened house and fumbled with the switch on the wall. "He has to be home his truck is here" she screamed as a strong pair of hands surrounded her waist.
"Shh baby it's just me" Nick's soft voice soothed her pounding heart and his touch put her at ease.
"Baby you scared the shit out of me" Kim Ann gasped. Her words were cut short as a soft moan slipped off her lips as her boyfriend caressed her neck and ran his hands up and down her body from behind. "Mmmm what is the special occasion?" she whispered as she drank in his scent.
"Mom has the twins and you and I are all alone" he whispered huskily in her ear. Nick's hand slipped under her shirt and as he struggled to unhook her bra she slipped out of his grasp. "You cooked? Okay Carter what are you sucking up for, what did you and the twins do?" Kim Ann put her hands on her hips and stared at a flustered Nick.
"Baby do you ever give up the mother act? I was just about to slip you my surprise and you accuse me of sucking up" Nick sat down rejected, on the couch and looked up at his girlfriend.
Kim Ann walked over and slipped onto his lap "You slipped me your surprise once and now we have two surprises to show for it" she smiled and kissed him. "What is the special occasion Nicky?"
"It just has been a long time since you and I have spent an entire night alone, I wanted to make it special"
Kim Ann stood up and took her boyfriend's hand and pulled him up "Well let's go eat that wonderful food and then we can work on making it a special night"

"Howie this is so beautiful" Jessi and Howie were standing on the pier looking out at the boats that were bobbing on the water. They had decided to go for a walk after dinner.
"Not as beautiful as you" Howie kissed his wife and led her over to the park bench. He felt her shiver and covered her shoulders with his jacket and then handed her a long box. "Happy anniversary baby"
Jessi smiled and opened the box. "Howie...Paris..oh my God baby!" Jessi threw her arms around him and kissed him.
Howie pulled away and stared at her "Jess...before you get too excited I have to tell you something"
Jessi's excited expression turned to one of worry "What is it baby"
"We are going back on tour, a huge tour, for four months" Howie searched his wife's eyes for a hint of what she was thinking.
Jessi laid her hand on his thigh "Hun that is wonderful, I am so proud of all of you. AJ would be so proud"
Howie's eyes filled with tears "We all went to his grave and asked him before we agreed to it, we know he wants us to do this comeback tour so we are leaving next month"
"I am so happy for you" Jessi handed Howie the tiny, square box "Happy anniversary Howie"
Howie was speechless as he saw what was inside. "I am not pregnant yet, but once I am I figured you would want to wear that" Jessi said as Howie stared at the #1 dad pendant.
Howie stood up and gathered her into his arms and spun her around "This is the best gift you could have given me..let's go home and start rehearsing" Howie put his wife down and kissed her deeply.

"Kev what made you think of searching for a nanny?" Kevin and Skylar were sitting in the living room watching television when Skylar brought up the question.
Kevin took a deep breath and looked at his wife "Sky the guys and I are going out on tour, next month. I knew how tired you are and I cannot leave you alone for 4 months with the children, I figured that Ria would be a big help to you and maybe you can start working part time again"
Skylar stared at her handsome husband "You are leaving..you are leaving me and your children?"
"Sky it's part of my job, you never thought there was anything wrong before."
"Kevin we have 5 children with one on the way, you won't be here for our final child's birth, I cannot believe that you are leaving us...YOU ARE SO SELFISH" Skylar was overcome with tears and she walked upstairs to their bedroom.
"Shit.." Kevin held his head in his hands and tried to figure out what to do.

"That was the best meal I have ever eaten" Kim Ann placed her napkin in the empty plate and stared at her boyfriend. His short hair was spiked, just the way she liked it, the tailored shirt hugged his beefy body and the candlelight made his features more prominent. "Remind me to call Mrs Dorough and compliment her"
"Hey" Nick clutched his chest "Baby I slaved over the hot stove all day for you, hell I even burnt myself"
Kim Ann reached across the table and picked up his hand. "Is it this finger?" she slowly brought his finger to her lips and kissed it, letting the tip slip between her lips. She stared at Nick's face as his lips turned into an expression of pleasure. "Or is it this one?" she asked as she suckled on the other finger.
"You are not playing fair" Nick's voice became husky as his girlfriend worked her way over to his lap and ran her tongue over his lips. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her in close. "Kymmi I love you so much...god how am I going to leave you and the twins for 4 months" Nick flinched as he realised what he had just slipped.
"What..leave me..Nick what the hell are you talking about?" Kim Ann cupped his face in her hands and forced him to look at her. "Baby what are you hiding?"
"The guys and I are planning on touring this summer, we only found out and I have been dreading having to tell you" Nick's eyes met Kim Ann's.
"Nick you didn't have to dread it, baby this is your job, I knew this when I first agreed to date you. When do you leave?"
"Next month, the twins are going to be so upset"
"No they won't, they will be excited, and look at the bright side, this means that we can travel to visit you. Baby I love you and if that means that I have to share you with millions of women for the next 4 months then I will have to deal with it, that is of course if you promise to only entertain them on stage and not in person" Kim Ann teased.
"Speaking of performing I think you and I have some unfinished business to
take care of" Nick kissed her and they made their way to the bedroom.
