Skylar drove past the resteraunt where she and Kevin had their first dinner as a married couple, she drove past the hospital where all five of their children had been born and she drove past the tiny chapel where they had proclaimed their love for one another as they vowed to share the good times and bad with each other. "How can he leave us?" Skylar reached for the phone and called her best friend.

"Nick I love you so much" Kim Ann raked her fingernails down her boyfriends back as he was about to enter her. The desperate sounding tone of her friend on the answering machine made her push Nick away. "Baby pick up the phone, it's Skylar"
Nick reached for the cordless phone beside the bed and kissed his girlfriend's neck as he tried to eavesdrop on what the woman on the end of the phone was saying.
"Come right over, no you are not interrupting anything" Kim Ann squirmed as Nick ran his tongue up her bare spine and gave him a warning look. "See you in a bit"
"Let me guess she didn't take Kevin's announcement too well?" A flustered Nick asked.
"Baby she is so upset, dammit, Nicky I am sorry, I know how much you wanted this night to be special but Skylar is my best friend and she needs me" Kim Ann kissed his lips and held her face close to his. "Forgive me?"
"Who am I too come between two best friends, don't mind me I am going to go and pop in a movie downstairs and take care of my little friend here who is awake and wants to play" Nick reached for his pants and mumbled.
"Baby I love you"
"Uh huh" Nick said as he walked downstairs. "What a way to ruin a night"

"If I was a betting woman I would say that you and I made some magic tonight baby" Jessi rested her head on Howie's chest and looked up at him.
"I hope that this baby knows how much his mom and dad are going to love him"
"HIM?? Howie we are not even sure that we got pregnant yet" Jessi giggled.
"Trust me, we just created a miracle" Howie kissed the top of his wife's head and laid his head on his pillow, dreaming of a baby with deep brown curls and big brown eyes.

"Hi girl" Kim Ann hugged her distraught friend tight as she stood in the entranceway. "Come on in"
The girls settled into the plush and oversized couch that Nick had insisted was perfect for playing Nintendo and Kim Ann handed her friend a kleenex and a cup of hot herbal tea. "Tell me what's wrong Skeelo"
"Did Nick tell you that he was leaving on tour?"
"Yes and I think it is great for them, they need to get back to doing what they love, AJ would want that" Kim Ann said softly.
"Kymmi they all have families now, they all have their own lives, they need to grow up and stop living in the past"
"No Skylar, they need to do this, they need to get on with their lives, they have all been walking around trying to salvage the memories they had with AJ. They need to get back out there and start making new memories. Skeelo Kevin loves you so much, do you not think that he is just as upset that he will have to leave you and the kids? He must really want this bad if he is willing to leave behind the people who mean the most to him in the world" Kim Ann smiled at her friend.
"I know that he wants this, and I know that I accepted this when I married him but I am so scared of failing, of not being able to do a good job with raising his children. He would never forgive me if I screwed up" Skylar burst into tears.
"Skylar you will not fail, you were meant to be a mother, you are incredible with your children and Kevin knows that"
"I just want him to be happy" Skylar sobbed.
"Well then support him on this, he will love you even more if you stand behind him and make him do this. Skylar I am just as afraid but I would never make Nick give this up, this is the life I chose and now I have to accept it."
~~1 hour later~~
Feel better?" Kim Ann hugged her friend.
"Yes I do" Skylar smiled for the first time that evening.
"Good now get the hell out of here..I have a boyfriend who is about to die
from terminal horniness if I don't soon get to him. " Kim Ann walked her
friend to the door "Promise me you will go home and talk to Kevin, don't
leave it to tomorrow because you may chicken out, drive safe and call me to
let me know you got home safely. Kim Ann watched her friend drive off and
locked the door. "Oh Nicky I am coming down there to help you unwind" Kim
Ann yelled as she threw her bathrobe to the ground and walked downstairs.
