AJ stopped pacing long enough for the surgeon to tell him that Molly was out of recovery and that she was heading into radiation.
"Is she fine, did you get the tumor?" AJ asked, quickly and worriedly.
"We got the tumor and we are hopeful that with radiation and chemotherapy that we can kill all the cancerous cells. We won't know for sure until she is finished with her first round of radiation but it looks promising"
"Can I see her?"
"We don't recommend that, her radiation only takes 65 minutes and then she will rest for another 30 and then she can go home. She is going to be very sore from the operation and she cannot get the treated area wet. Her appetite will probably be non existent and she will be very shaky and weak."
AJ's stomach was tied in knots as he listened to the doctor's instructions. "Go make her better doc, do what you have to do, but can you please do me a favour, please tell her that I never left, that I have been here the entire time and that I am waiting for her"
The surgeon smiled at the man who was overcome with emotion "I promise I will tell her" he squeezed AJ's shoulder and walked away.

"Okay Molly, I am marking the spots where the radiation is going to take place." The technician talked to Molly throughout, trying to keep her calm. "Okay we are going to start the radiation.It won't hurt, just lie still and it will all be over before you know it" The technician went into the glassed in room and started the radiation.
"Please get it all, please god let this work. Daddy please give me the strength to get through this" Molly closed her eyes and hummed the song that was her and AJ's comfort song, the song they sang to each other when they were down.
"In the arms of an angel Far away from here"

"Are you okay baby?" AJ held Molly close as Nick drove the two back to AJ's house.
"I am fine, a little shaky and really cold but otherwise I am fine" Molly's mouth was dry and she could have killed for a glass of water. As if AJ could read her thoughts he reached for a bottle of water and brought it to her lips.
"The nurse gave me a list of things you would probably need so I got my mom to get them for me so I would have them if you needed them" AJ kissed the top of her head and held her tighter.

"Hi you guys, what are you doing here?" Molly smiled brightly when she entered the house and saw everyone sitting in the living room waiting for them.
"We are here for dinner and to hang out. AJ wanted a quiet night for you but we know that you would rather spend it with us" Jessi smiled as she hugged her friend. "I am so sorry, dammit I am an idiot" Jessi pulled away when she heard Molly whimper. "I am sorry I forgot"
Moly rubbed her chest lightly "that's okay, your hug makes it feel so much better. So what are we eating?"
"My famous shis kabobs" Kevin came in off the deck with a tray in his hand. "Hey Chipper"
"Kev you are my hero, I have been craving those all week" Molly smiled " Hey where is Miss Mew?"
"Right here" Skylar walked into the house carrying Hannah and grocery bags. She handed her to Molly and kissed her "How are you feeling?"
"Much better now that the worst part is over" Molly sat down on the couch beside AJ and started to play with Hannah.
"She looks good huh?" Nick said to Howie.
"She is a strong woman, she will fight it all the way" Howie watched Molly and smiled.

"And the chicken said to the horse" AJ was in the middle of telling a joke when Nick's phone went off. He excused himself and walked out into the kitchen.
"Hi Nik, she is fine, she is sore and tired but she pulled through it real well. We are probably going to be here most of the evening. Breakfast, sure, meet you there at 10." Nick hung up the phone and grabbed a coke from the fridge before he left.

Nikola stared out the window at the white sand below her and she grinned.
"Nick you and I are going to get to know each other real well, you are my
ticket to Bob"
