One month later
Molly woke up soaking wet, she was shivering and very nausiated. She ran to the bathroom and brought up the non existent contents in her almost empty stomach. She had been having problems keeping her energy and she could not keep anything down. She had an appointment last week and had tests run and she was due at the clinic at 9 am to get the results. She was trying to get the tiles to stop spinning so she could get her balance and stand up when warm breath tickled her neck and a husky voice broke her silence "Chipper are you alright?" AJ's hands touched her shoulders and started to rub them.
"I am fine, I will be better once I get the results but for right now I am fine" Molly slipped her hand into his and he gently pulled her up and hugged her. "Well we should get in the shower and start getting ready, unfortunatly I am going to have to join you so I can make sure you don't pass out and hit your head"
Molly grinned and snapped her fingers "Damn, that sucks, I was hoping to shower alone"
AJ grinned and started the water.

"Nick you will be at the airport to pick me up right?" Kim Ann was at the Ottawa airport ready to board the plane to Orlando. She had sold her house and cleared out her office. She was moving in with Nick and starting her new job with the Orlando Solar Bears Hockey Team.
"Of course I will be there, Sweet Pea, Aaron and my dad are coming with me. They are both excited about meeting you finally...and ummm well my mom wants us over for dinner. Sweet Pea I think she wants to check you out, she was pretty upset when I told her that you and I were moving in together. "
"Nick I don't blame her, I mean I am older than you, she has never met me and all of a sudden we are moving together. She probably thinks that I am some money hungry, fame searching whore."
"I know you are but I still love you anyway, now hurry up and get here, I have a surprise for you"
"Dammit the last time you had a surprise for me I ended up getting a bikini wax that i was not expecting." Kim Ann groaned
"How was I supposed to know that those edible undies would melt, besides I like the new smooth look"
"You horny little toad...remind me agian why I am doing this?'
"Because you love me and I am awesome in bed"
" Bye Nicky, see you soon"
"Love you Sweet Pea" Nick hung up the phone and went to pick up Aaron and his dad.

Jessi sat up in bed and ran her hands up and down Howie's bare back. She looked down at the silver band that she wore on her right finger and smiled. The day before they had gone to a flea market and there was a vendor who sold jewelry. Howie had picked out two silver bands and slipped one on his finger and the other on hers. They both had called them friendship rings but they knew the real meaning behind them. Things were going wonderfully for the two of them, they were taking things slow and she flew out to see him once a month. She got along wonderfully with the guys significant others and the guys adored her as much as she liked them. She knew that Howie was not one to rush into things and she was in no mood to rush him. She felt him stir and she leaned down to kiss his neck. "Good morning sleeping beauty"
Howie rolled over and looked at her and with a knowing smile pulled her into his arms.

"Molly, I don't know how to tell you this" The doctor's voice cracked. It was the one part of his job that he despised. How did he tell this beautiful, young woman that her cancer was back and that this time there would be no way to cure it.
AJ knew the news was bad and he pulled her in close to him while he braced himself for the news. "What is it Doctor, what is making her so sick?"
"Molly the cancer is back and it has spread, apparently when they did the reconstruction surgery the cancer had already started and once the air hit it, it caused the cancer to spread."
Molly tried to be strong "So when do we start chemo?"
"There isn't going to be any chemotherapy or radiation this time, I am afriad that is has spread to your brain and we can only diagnose that you have, if you are lucky 6 months. I am so very sorry Molly" The doctor was surprised as Molly got up from her chair and calmly shook his hand.
"Thank you for everything you and your staff have done for me" Molly walked out of his office and once the door closed and she was alone in the waiting room she broke down and crumpled to the floor. "I am 26...dammit I am too young to die, I have finally found the happiness that I craved all my life and you are taking it away from me" Molly was screaming and crying and as AJ and the doctor ran out to her she flung her arms and tried to keep them from touching her. "GET AWAY....GET AWAY FROM ME" Molly ran out of the clinic and fumbled in her pockets for AJ's car keys and as AJ ran out after her she sped off.
"CHIPPER......COME BACK BABY" AJ was screaming as he watched her speed off.
As he hailed a cab his only thoughts were on how he was going to get her
through this latest tragedy.
