Bob was coming out of the gift store when he did a double take "It can't be?" He shook the image out of his mind and walked over to where Aaron and Nick were sitting. "I see you bought out the flower store" he teased Nick as he saw the huge bouquet of tulips that Nick was holding.
Nick blushed "It is something I do for her whenever I am away from her, so what did you have to buy in the gift store?" Nick asked.
"Just a little welcome present for Kim Ann" Bob grinned. He looked around the crowd and stopped when his gaze fell on the stunning blonde who was sitting across the airport lounge from him. "Excuse me, Nick watch your brother for a minute" Bob put down the package and walked angrily over to the lady and grabbed her arm "What the hell are you doing here? How did you know where to find me?"
"That's a nice way to greet your daughter Daddy" Nik snarled.
"Nikola I want to know what the hell you are doing here...do you need money?"
"Now I know why I hate you so much...jesus did you ever think that maybe your other daughter Angie is sick?"
Bob's expression softened "Is she alright?"
"Spare me the concern, the only concern you have is for your real family, we are only the mistakes and the family that you try to hide from wifey...aren't my little brothers adorable?"
"You stay away from them, do you hear me?" Bob said, his voice filled with anger.
"Too late, we have already met, actually Nick and I get along great and Aaron is precious" Nik's face was filled with contempt and her voice was taunting.
"Nikola I am warning you, leave them alone, everything was fine, why did you have to show up, I give you money, I support your education and all I ask is that you stay away from Jane and the kids, can you not do that for me?"
"NO, I want to be a part of my step brothers' lives , I want to know them and spend time with them...you may not care about family relations and closeness but I sure as hell do and I am going to act on it" Nik was about to walk across to see Nick when she saw Kim Ann throw herself in Nick's arms and the two kiss happily. "That bitch had better leave my brother alone" she looked back at Bob who was shaking angrily and she stormed off.
"Where did I go wrong with her...why is she so filled with hatred" Bob tried to compose himself and walked over to where his son and girlfriend were. He cleared his throat and the couple broke apart. "Hi Kim Ann, I am Bob, Nick's father, it is so nice to finally meet you" Bob hugged the woman and handed her the package."here is a little something to make you feel like part of the Carter Clan"
Kim Ann burst out laughing when she saw the present "I see that Nick's snoring must run in the family" she said as she held up the ear plugs.
"All of the Carter men snore, I just figured that you had better be prepared, now let's get you home so you can get settled in and ready for dinner with the family. Nick;s mom has been cooking all day" Aaron and Bob walked away holding Kim Ann's luggage and Nick and Kim Ann followed, holding hands and kissing.

Molly pulled over to the side of the road and tried to regain her composure.She couldn't get over the death sentance she had just been handed and she was frightened. As much as she wanted to push AJ away she knew that she needed him in the last months of her life. She wanted him there holding her when she slipped away and she wanted him there to choose the dress that she would be buried in. "Alex how do I go on knowing that each day might be our last?" Molly started the car and drove home.

"Nick this place is beautiful, how did you get all of my stuff, I thougth we agreed to sell everything and start new." Kim Ann looked around the house that was now decorated with a combination of both of their stuff and she smiled. "This makes it all so real"
Nick walked over and wrapped his arms around her shoulders and whispered "There is something in my pocket and I want you to get it"
Kim Ann grinned "Baby I know what is in your pocket and I will get to that later, right now we need to get ready to go to your parent's house"
Nick kissed her and smiled "Cute...but not right..." Nick took her hand and guided it into his pocket and smiled at the confused look on her face.
Kim Ann stared at the key in her hand "what is this for?"
Nick took her hands and they walked down the beach to a half built house. "Sweet Pea this is ours, I wanted us to start fresh, my old house holds memories for me and the only memories I want is with you. When Howie is finished with this we will move in. Do you like it?"
"Nick how come you are so good to me, how come you act so differently then you really are? You are the most incredible man I have ever met." Kim Ann kissed him and the two walked towards the house and stood there staring at it, wrapped in each other's arms and dreaming of what lay ahead.

AJ jumped up from the chair when he heard the door open "Baby, you scared the shit out of me...why did you take off?"
"I needed some time to think about what I wanted to do..I needed some breathing space" Molly clung to AJ as she cried. "I think you had better sit down...I made a decision and I don’t think you are going to approve.

"Nick she is a doll" Jane and Nick were in the kitchen talking about Kim Ann when the doorbell rang. Kim Ann and Leslie and BJ were talking about the new house, Aaron and Angel were playing Nintendo and Bob was in the study looking over some bills. "I'll get it" Aaron ran downstairs and threw open the door and smiled "What are you doing here?"
"Come on everyone dinner is on the table. Kim Ann and Nick sat down and were talking as everyone filed into the dining room and took their places. "where is Aaron?" Jane asked.
"Aaarrrron" Bob yelled "That boy and his video games..Kymmi do yourself a favour and throw away Nick's nintendo, otherwise you may never see him" Bob teased.
"Nick look who is here to see you" Aaron walked into the dining room, followed by Nik.
Kim Ann looked at Nick "what are you doing here?" She asked.
"I am here for family dinner, unlike you I AM a member of this family, even
though my dear sweet father here likes to forget that fact, right daddy?"
Nik folded her arms, stood back and stared at all the confused looks that
pointed at Bob. "Payback is a bitch daddy...it is time to fess up" she
thought evily to herself.
