"This cannot be happening, Dammit Nikola what are you doing here?" Bob jumped out of his chair and grabbed hold of his daughter.
"GET YOUR HANDS OFF OF ME YOU PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A FATHER" Nikola screamed.
"Father? Robert what is going here?" Jane was crying as she watched the scene unfold.
"Aaron, BJ, Leslie, Angel and Nick...upstairs NOW" Bob screamed.
"NO WAY...I am old enough to know what is going on and I am staying" Nick said angrily as he glared at his father and Nik.
They waited for the young children to go upstairs and then he proceeded. "Janie I can explain..please...Nikola sit down and let's talk about this like adults" Bob pleaded with the two women.
"You have 5 minutes to explain this to me Bob before I walk out of this house" Jane said between tears.
Bob took a deep breath and started his confession "When I was in Jamestown visiting your family I went to a bar with your brother and I met Renata. She is beautiful and sweet and she was so full of excitement and life that I could not help but become attracted to her. Well she became addicting, one night with her turned into a couple of times a year, always using the excuse that I was going on business. Well two years into the relationship she became pregnant and I could not leave her, and by that time we were married so I did the best I could, I promised her I would always be a part of her and my daughter's life and I would provide for them as long as they kept themselves a secret. Jane I love you and the kids with all my heart but I was stuck." Bob tried to touch Jane and comfort her but she brushed him aside.
"Tell her about Angie" Nikola interrupted.
"I have another daughter, Angela, she is 12"
Nick pounded his fist on the table and jumped up from the table so fast that the chair was knocked to the floor "YOU BASTARD" Nick screamed at his father and ran out of the house.
Kim Ann glared at Nikola "You inconsiderate bitch, you could not have left well enough alone" and she slapped the woman who had caused so much pain that evening, and she ran out after Nick.
""Jane I am sorry, Janie, please understand"
"Understand what? That you have been carrying on a relationship with a women for 20 years...that you have two daughters that you have hidden from me and the children...that our entire relationship is based on deceit? You are not the man I fell in love with" Jane ran out of the house, leaving Robert to face his daughter.
"Is this what you wanted, to cause me all this pain..do you think that my children are going to want to know you after they see what you have done here tonight...I am calling your mother" Bob stomped towards the study and slammed the door so hard that one of Nick's gold records fell off the wall and smashed.
Nikola picked up the broken glass and went to find Nick. She found him huddled under a tree, with Kim Ann holding him tight as he cried. "Can I have some time alone with my brother?" she asked a pissed off Kim Ann.
"Fuck off you bitch...how could you do this?" Kim Ann said, her voice filled with hatred.
"What do you care, you are only with him for his money you bitch"
Nick stood up and looked into the eyes of the woman who he now knew as his sister "You can insult my bastard of a father, you can scream at me but if you ever insult the woman I love again, or you ever hurt my family the way you just did, any hope of us being brother and sister will be gone." Nick turned to Kim Ann who was watching the scene with a hint of pride. "Baby I will be fine, go in and check on the kids and I will be back soon" Nick kissed her and turned back to Nik. "Why did you do this, why could you not have told me that first day on the plane, you haev been stalking me and making plans to devestate my family"
"Nick...I wanted to meet you, I wanted to ease my way into your life before I dropped the bomb. True I hate our father, he was a bastard to me and my sister and I wanted him to pay, but the real reason I came out here was to meet you and the rest of my family. Angie and I only have each other and we always wanted brothers and sisters. Please forgive me" Nik touched her brother's shoulder.
"I need time...I understand why you did it and I am thrilled, shocked but thrilled to know that I have two more sisters, especially an older one but my family needs some time to adjust to this, and some time to heal." Nick hugged his sister tight. "I am going to go and check on my mom, could you please tell my girlfriend that I have gone to see my mother, I know whre she always goes to think and I need to talk to her. "
"You bet baby brother" Nik smiled and walked back into the house where
Leslie and BJ were waiting for her. "So we have an older sister and a
younger one..when can we meet her?"
