"Why don't we stay in tonight, we have not spent a lot of time together and I really want to see Scream 3. Denise got us all advanced copies while we were on tour but with us being so busy I never got to sit down and actually watch it" Howie handed Jessi the diet coke that he had brought from the kitchen and sat down beside her.
"You have Scream 3? Cool I wanted to see that but everyone else is too chicken to see it. Let me run up and get changed into some comfortable clothes and then we can watch it." Jessi jumped up and headed towards the stairs and turned "Um Howie, I get really scared, please don't get upset if I claw you or squeeze you" Jessi said with an embarassed grin.
Howie opened his arms "You won't be scared, you are going to be in my arms, and you can squeeze me all night if you want and I won't say anything."
Jessi grinned and ran upstairs.
"She is such a wonderful woman, so understanding of my career, self assured and independant. I never thought I would ever get involved with a fan, let alone one of the hootchies but I am so glad that I took Skylar's advice when she suggested that I call Jessi when we went to Seattle" Howie smiled and dug out the DVD.

"Nick your house in incredible, the view is out of this world" Nik stood in front of the huge picture windows that looked out onto the water. Nick had suggested that they go out on his boat after they had finished brunch and Nik had jumped at the chance. At that moment Nick was preparing lunch for the two to take on the boat and Nik was taking the opportunity to search his house. She walked over to the entertainment cabinet and her blood turned to ice when she saw a recent family picture of the Carter's. "You bastard, as if you are hugging and smiling with your children, pretending that you are a devoted father when in reality you are hiding your other family from them. Why is it that you can spend so much time with them and all we get is visits twice a year when you use the excuse that you are going to visit old friends. Why is that they get you for every holiday and all we get is cards filled with excuses and presents that try to buy us off? How come you hid from us your other family. Why can't I meet my other siblings, why can't I share in Nick's success. He is my brother and I want to share this with him. Why did Mom agree to this life?" Nik felt the tears well in her eyes and she quickly wiped them away when she heard Nick coming.
"I packed enough food for an army, are you ready?" Nick smiled brightly.
"I sure am." Nik smiled at the blonde boy and took the basket from his hand.

"The test came back positive, the lump in your breast in cancerous. We want to try you on radiation and then a round of chemotherapy. It is in the second stage and we want to start the treatment right away" Molly replayed the scene in the doctor's office as she slept. Her sheets were soaked with sweat and she thrashed. "No, I am too young to die, NO" Molly screamed and sat up in bed. She looked around the room and tried to cath her breath. She relaxed when she realised where she was and she pulled the blankets back around her thin body, trying to chase away the chills. "Why me, why does everything happen to me?"
AJ was preparing dinner when he heard a piercing scream, he dropped the knife he was chopping the mushrooms with and ran up the stairs, taking them two at a time. He ran breathlessly into the spare bedroom and panicked when he didn't see Molly. He felt the familiar dread as he walked towards the bathroom. "Please baby, don't tell me that you are relapsing" He took a deep breath and opened the bathroom door. His heart dropped when he saw Molly leaning over the bowl of the toilet. He dropped to his knees as his white faced girlfriend stared up at him. He let her head fall into his lap and stroked her hair as she cried.
"Alex it is not fair, I am too young to die, god why me, why me, what did I ever do, why me" molly was mumbling and crying.
"Baby what are you talking about, you are scaring me, we will fight this, you are not going to die, you had this beat..come one baby"
Molly looked up at Alex and with a heavy heart said "Alex I have cancer, I found out last week, I have breast cancer and I have to start treatment on Monday"
Alex's heart broke as his he slowly started to comprehend what his girl friend had just told him "You have cancer? How, why, baby why didn't you tell me?"
"You have too much to deal with, Alex I love you with all my heart but I am too much trouble for you, I can't have you worrying about me."
"Chipper you should know me better than that, I have stood by you through everything else , I am not turning my back on you know. Come on let's get you to bed and we can talk about this later." AJ picked her up and carried her into his bedroom. He tried to put her down on the bed but she clung to him "Don't leave, please."
"You know I will never leave you" AJ slipped into bed and placed her in his lap so that he could hold her tight. As he held her he looked up to the heavens "Why are you doing this to her, how much can you possibly make one human go through, why god, why Chipper?"

"Sweetness, did you see how sick Molly looked today?" Kevin and Skylar were putting Hannah for her nap when Kevin brought up Molly.
"She looks really tired, I know that something is going on and she is not telling any of us what it is. Kymmi says that she had a doctor's appointment last week and that when she picked her up Molly had been crying. Kymmi had tried to get something out of her but Molly just told her that she was fine and would deal with it on her own."
"I think you should call AJ and tell him, he is so protective of her and I know he is probably out of his mind with worry about her. While we were touring Kymmi called and told him that Molly was sick with the flu and AJ wanted to cancel the show and fly home to take care of her. Baby I have never seen him so in love with a woman before. It scares me actually, he would give up everything he has worked so hard for to take care of Molly"
"Howie and I were talking this morning after brunch and he said the same thing. He said that AJ is so far in love with Molly that he can't think straight. I know that we all encouraged them to follow their hearts but can this be healthy?" Skylar asked as the two walked downstairs to the kitchen.
"I don't know Hun but I think AJ had better be told about the doctor's appointment sooner than later"

Howie and Jessi were curled up on the couch when the phone rang, Howie paused the movie and reached for the phone "Hi Bone...what's up? Okay we will meet you there in 10 minutes" Howie hung up the phone and looked at Jessi who had a worried look on her face.
"Let me guess, it is about Molly?"
"How did you know?" Howie asked.
"These past couple of days I knew she was hiding something, what is it?'
"I don't know but I think it is serious, AJ wants us all over there in 10 minutes"Howie and Jessi grabbed their coats and ran out the door.

"Baby you go ahead, when Hannah wakes up I will meet you over there" Kevin had just got off the phone and was trying to fill in Skylar as fast as he could.
"Oh my god I hope everything is alright, I will call you as soon as I find out anything" Skylar kissed Kevin and ran out the door.

"My father used to bring me out here and we would talk for hours about everything. We talked about cars and sports, then about girls and now we talk about my career. I tell him everything." Nick had anchored the boat and as the two ate he was telling Nik about his family "Aaron is the best, he and I are very close and now that he is in the business I am to him what my dad was to me. I would protect my family from anything. I miss them like mad when I am on tour but I try to get home as much as possible"
Nik was so filled with hurt as she listened to Nick talk about his family. She wanted him to talk about her and her sister Leah the same way. "So you don't have an older brother or sister?' she asked.
"With the exception of the guys, no, and I always wished I did. I need someone to give me advice, someone who would stick up for me and protect me"
It took all of her power not to reach for her little brother and hug him and spill the truth to him but she knew that she needed to find out more before she could tell him her secret. Their conversation was interrupted by Nick's cell ringing.
His face filled with worry as he spoke. He hung up and looked at Nik "I have an emergency and we have to go back. I am sorry"
"Is it your family?"
"Sort of, remember Molly? Well something is wrong with her and AJ wants us
all at his house. I am sorry" Nick started the boat and sped through the
water "Please god let Chipper be all right"
