AJ was pacing the floor as he waited for his friends to arrive. He played the bedroom scene over and over again in his mind and each time the shocking confession seemed to break his heart further. He tried to figure out what to tell his friends and worried about whether or not Molly would be furious at him for telling them. "I have to tell them, I will not be able to get through this alone. I am going to have support her and comfort her and that is going to use all my strength, if I supporting her I am going to need them to pull me up" AJ wiped the tears that were spilling down the front of his shirt and ran to the door when he heard the doorbell.
Skylar took a deep breath as she waited for AJ to answer the door "Please tell me that he is going to announce that they are moving in together, please don't tell me that Molly is sick again, please" Skylar said a prayer but when the door opened and she came face to face with an upset AJ she knew that her worst fears were confirmed. She hugged him tight and said "What's wrong with her AJ?"
AJ hugged his friend tight and said " You will know soon enough" The two walked into the living room and waited for everyone to arrive.

"Everyone thank you for coming" AJ looked around the room and saw the concerned and worried faces on Howie, Jessi, Skylar, his mother and Nick. "I don't know if Molly wanted me to tell you this but I found out something upsetting today and I could not deal with it without you all." AJ swallowed hard, trying to keep the lump from travelling up his throat and choking off his words. "Molly has breast cancer and she is starting radiation on Monday. They are removing the tumor and then immediatly starting the treatment."
"Baby" Denise rushed over to where her son was sitting and cradled him in her arms.
Everyone was silent as the words that AJ had just spoken settled in. Jessi gently took Howie's hand in hers and rubbed them. Nick and Skylar hugged each other and cried while Brian and Leighanne sat stunned.
AJ broke away from his mom's grasp and looked at his friends "we all need to be strong for Molly, we can't let us see how frightened and upset we are for her. We need to work together to help her get through this" AJ was interrupted by Molly who walked into the living room and after seeing the upset faces of her friends knew that AJ had told them.
"Well I guess everyone knows and I am sure that it comes as a shock. I will
be fine, I will fight it. I know that you all probably want to help me but
the best thing you can do to help me is to treat me normally. I am tired of
being babied because I am sick, I need you all to make me laugh and crack
jokes with me, yell at me when I piss you off and support me when I am down.
If you start treating me different I am going to go nuts." Molly looked
fondly at her friends. "Now I am hungry, Alex let's start up the grill and
make some food. It will be a while until I can eat real food again." Molly
kissed her boyfriend and tried to put on a brave face for him, but she knew
that she was not fooling him, he could read her like a book and he knew that
she was scared.
