Molly felt warm breath on her neck and she reached up to feel who it was beside her. She smiled when she felt the short, thick hair and turned to smiled at AJ. "Alex" she nudged the sleeping man.
AJ opened his eyes was met with the big brown eyes that he had grown to adore. "How are you feeling?"
"I am so tired, I am shivering but most of all I am scared to death of what the next couple of months hold for me. Alex I don't know if I am strong enough to fight, I have no energy left. I have been fighting all my life, first fighting the depression that I suffered through high school because of the teasing, then the feeling of lonliness when I moved to San Francisco to persue my career and then finally I have been fighting this awful disease that seems to take pleasure in knocking me down whenever I am finally happy. I just think I am finished fighting" Molly broke into tears and buried her head in AJ's chest.
"Chipper you listen to me...you listen to what I am about to say. Your whole life you have proven that you were strong enough to get through any hardship that it tossed you. You finally have a promising career, a man who loves you and a best friend who will do anything to make you happy. You have fought so hard for all of this , you cannot give up now. I won't let you" AJ held her tight.

"Excuse me...is my girlfriend awake yet? I have been waiting all night to see her, please can you check on her?" Howie asked softly to the nurse at the desk.
"Hold on Sugar I will go check" The nurse walked down the hall to Molly's room and stopped in the doorway as she watched the tender and emotional scene that the couple in the bed were sharing. "Well if they think they are just friends then they need to wake up" The nurse smiled softly and knocked on the door "Hi doll how are you feeling this morning?"
Molly wiped the tears from her face and smiled at the nurse "I would love to tell you that I am feeling wonderful but my best friend Alex would kill me for lying to you. I have hidden things for way to long..I am not feeling well at all."
"Well your best friend is a smart man, you need to be completly honest with us so that we can do everything possible to make you feel better. Now there is a very handsome man who has spent the night on the uncomfortable couch in the waiting room and he is dying to see you, should I send him in?"
Molly looked at Alex and squeezed his hand "Thank you for keeping your promise to me and not leaving me. You go home and get some rest, you have a show tonight, besides Howie will take care of me" Molly kissed AJ's forehead "I love you Alex"
AJ smiled and ran his hand over her pale face "I love you too Chipper, I will be back later" and he walked out of the room and was met by an impatient Howie.
"How is she Bone?"
"She is alright, very weak and very scared. D you have to go in there and comfort her" AJ walked towards Nick and Kevin.
Howie took a deep breath and walked into the room where Molly was sitting up and talking to the nurse. She smiled when she saw him "Hi baby"
Howie walked slowly over to her and hugged her thin body "How are you feeling?"
" I am scared, I am sorry to have given you such a scare last night. Management must be going crazy trying to figure out what to do."
"Molly, oh Molly" Howie brushed the hair out of her face and smiled softly as the tears started to form in his eyes and a lump raised up in his throat. "Why do you always apologize? I am the one who should be apologizing, I pushed and pushed and look at where it landed you, baby I am sorry. I am such a fool" Howie held her hands in his and bent his head down to rest on them. "How can you ever forgive me for this?"
Molly looked at Howie and a thought crossed her mind "How come the man that I love doesn't know what I need right now? I don't need him apologizing to me, I need his strength. Alex walked in and knew exactly what I needed. I needed warm arms around me comforting me and making me feel safe and he did just that. I need Howie to crawl into bed with me and hold me." Molly ran her fingers through Howie's hair. "Baby I am tired and I know you are, go back to the hotel and rest. I will be fine, my mom will be here soon and she will watch out for me."
Howie looked up "Are you sure?"
"Yes" Molly kissed Howie and looked deep into his eyes "Have a good show
tonight" She watched Howie walk out and turned to the nurse. "I need you to
call the Doctor, I need him to help me out with something" Molly lowered her
bed and lay curled up hugging the blankets tight. She knew that what she was
about to do was going to make her miserable and almost kill the two men who
loved her but she knew it was the only way she was going to get healthy.
"Please forgive me" she whispered into the air, praying that AJ and Howie
would receive her plea.
