AJ looked out the window as the plane made its descent. He stared at the snow that was falling outside the window and breathed a sigh of relief when he felt the jolt of the plane as it touched down on the runway. He had decided not to call Kim Ann and warn her that he was coming. He wanted to see the look of surprise on her face when he showed up and confronted her about Molly. It had been 41 days since AJ had seen Molly's face, heard her laugh or felt her body in his arms and he was miserable. Howie had flown home and his family was doing their best to comfort him and help him move on with his life. Kevin and Skylar were putting the last minute touches on the nursery and were planning their wedding. AJ walked down the stairs of the small plane and shivered as the cold and furious wind nipped at him like a rabid dog. "Now I know why Skylar is so happy living in Orlando, how could she have dealt with this cold nonsense year after year?" AJ pulled his jacket tighter around him and walked into the busy Ottawa airport.

"Doc says that I gained another 3 pounds. I never thought I would be so happy to gain weight. I have come to the conclusion that if I want to get out of here and start living my life then I need to start eating. I ate a piece of apple today and didn't gag when it touched my tongue. I am hoping that by the end of the month I will be able to eat a whole meal without having the urge to cleanse my body of it. Food is no longer my enemy, instead it is the one thing that will help me to get out of here." Molly closed her journal and rested her head on it. It seemed that whenever she wrote in her journal or talked to her counsellor about getting strong and healthy her mind flashed to the one constant strength she had in her life...Alex. "Alex I wish you were here, I wish you were here to hold my hand when I break down in my sessions, I need you to stroke my hair like you always did and I need you to whisper in my ear that everything is going to be alright. I need to pick up the phone and call you but I can't. I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't call you until I was healthy, and I am not there yet." Molly placed her head in her knees and cried for the loss of the friendship that she craved and for the loss of the man who could help her heal.

"Coming" Kim Ann wiped her hands on her jeans as she walked to the door. She was trying to get her dishes washed and her house cleaned before she went to see Molly. Her mouth dropped when she saw AJ standing in the entranceway. "AJ what are you doing here?"
"Well that was a nice greeting for someone who just flew half way across the country to see you, are you going to invite me in?" AJ smiled and hugged his friend. "You look great Kymmi"
"Thanks, so do you." Kim Ann led AJ into the living room "Shit, what is he doing here, Moll is going to freak.I have to get rid of him before Molly calls and finds out he is here" Kim Ann sat down in the chair and smiled at the man across from her "So AJ what brings you to the great white north?"
" You know why I am here. Kim Ann I need to see her, I can't concentrate on the tour, the music is all jumbled in my head and I haven't slept more than 2 hours a day since she left. Please, I am her best friend, she needs me. Where is she?" AJ begged.
"I can't tell you, AJ she loves you, she loves you with all her heart but she needs to heal on her own. She cannot be bothered with a love triangle when she needs to be concentrating on dealing with her disease. If you love her you will respect her wishes, please AJ"
"I know this what she thinks she needs but I know better, she needs me there to hold her when she breaks down, she needs me to look deep into her eyes and tell her that she can go on when she wants to give up, most of all she needs me there beside her to encourage her and compliment her when she reaches a new milestone in her recovery. Please Kim Ann, please understand, when no one else knew what was going on with her it was me who found her and brought her out of the deep hole she was living in, it was me who put her in the hospital and made her confront her disease." AJ's voice cracked with emotion "It was me who held her that first night in the hospital when she was shivering and scared to death of what she was facing. I need to find her"
Kim Ann tried not to cry as she saw AJ completly break down and cry. "AJ let me talk to her, give me a couple of days and I will see what I can do. You do realize that this could cost both of us her friendship, are you willing to risk that?"
"She would never end our friendship. We need each other too much to go on
without one another. Trust me Kymmi this will all work out" AJ hugged the
woman close as he said a prayer to God asking him to bring him to Molly.
