Ok, lots and lots of things to chat about...And I am SOO sorry I haven't updated in awhile, but ya know I've been (insert lame excuse here) and I just didn't have time. I'll try to do better.
Black and Blue has been officially certified at 8 x's platinum by the RIAA. They also sold over 5 million albums worldwide in the first week of release, setting a new international record. US totals were over 1.5 million. That's a .2 million gain over Millennium, which is an outstanding achievement.
I will be attending the B&B tour in Las Vegas, NV with my friend Rachel. We already have tickets to the 8th of March and I'm counting on getting some to the 10th as well. Look for me and don't forget to say hi!
The video for "The Call" was premiered last night on a special prime time edition of TRL. If you haven't seen it yet, you are in for a real treat. It is definitely in the category with "Everybody" and "Larger Than Life". It's got a really cool twist in the middle during Nick's scene. Although, I have to admit that the billboard w/ each BSB x-ed out is kinda creepy and so is the room that Kev jumps into.
If you haven't alreay heard, BSB will be singing the national anthem at this year's SuperBowl in Tampa. It is a huge honor and they will be joining the ranks of singers such as Jewel, Faith Hill, Whitney Houston, Garth Brooks and many more! Rumor has it that they were originally asked to do the half time show, but declined siting tour comittments, so *N Sync was brought in to fill their place.
Congrats to the Boys for beating their previous record of days at number one. The former record was 57 day with "Larger Than Life". The new record has not been officially set yet, since "Shape Of My Heart" still has 4 days left on the countdown, but one can safely assume that it will be 59-61.
More congratulations are in order to the boys for winning their second American Music Award on January 8, 2001 (which just happened to be my 18th Birthday...Coincidence? I think not! lol).
