Well, what can I say about Juliana Hatfield? She has the most unbelievable voice and she is just ultra-cool. She has style unlike anybody else and writes songs that are truly fabulous.

My greatest Juliana experience

It all started when I found out Jules was playing and I couldn't go see her, because I'm under age. So I came up with the amazing idea to ask Nic Dalton to put me on the guest list. He said it should be ok, but there could be a bit of a problem with me being a bit young. He then suggested that we tell them (the people at the door) that I was her cousin and that I had to see the show or she'd get into trouble with her aunt! I thought he was just joking.

The night came and my sister Jen and I went to the gig. Didn't know if I'd see Nic there or not, but I kept an eye out all night. Watched Glide play whilst sussing out if we could get back stage. We reckon we could have, but didn't know what would happen if we walked through the door. Would they stare at us??

Then, Jules came on and blew the crowd away. Played all our favourites and more. A little into the set she dedicated a song to her cousin Kristy. I thought, wow, what a coincidence, but not much more.

After the show we got to talk to Jules. I was in the middle of taking some photos when Nic comes up and says, "Hey, it's your cousin!" I was so shocked. Jules goes, "Oh, yeah. But I got your name wrong." I didn't care. I could not believe it was all happening. We talked some more and took more photos. It was truly an unforgettable night.
