Strive To Survive Causing The Least Suffering Possible

Over the years my personal philosphies have evolved.

I wanted to change the world and fix all the injustices I saw. This
rebelliousness helped to form who I am, but it pushed me further away from
society, alienating me.  

I have found that in order to make an effective change you need to fight from
within the system.  If you don't like something you can turn your back on it
but it will still be there.  Alternatively, you can learn how the system
works and get in a position to alter things.  

If you read the works of Seneca he writes 2000 years ago that if we appear
unclean, long haired weirdos no one will take any notice of us except
possibly other weirdos.
Become what you despise and change it from within.  Subvert.

Revolutionize by leading by example and doing things correctly and fairly for
the well being of all.  We give too much credit to those in power knowing
what is going on.  Big Brother is not always watching.  They couldn't give a
toss about drugs, crime, poverty etc.  What they care about is votes.  Use
this against them.  Play them for the fools they are.  Make them aware that
if they do not take action in the people's favor they will lose your votes.
 This is what the Moral Majority right wing lobbyists do.

A lot of the things I learnt came from bands like CRASS.  I also have been
greatly influenced by Ghandi : non-violence and non-co-operation and by Buddha
.  The latter taught that you should take the middle path in life.  Not to be
too extreme one way or the other. 

Read the writing of Lao Tsu.  Taoism: The Way.  He wrote thousands of years
ago and what he said is still relevant today.  People are still trying to
find the Meaning of Life when there is no meaning.  We exist as part of the
earth, the earth is us.  

Evil landlords exploited and subjugated their peasants then as they do today.
 Why has nothing changed?  Because of ignorance and apathy.  In the words of R
udimentary Peni - Mice Race: " it seems that no matter how bad things get,
the herds of mindless sheep still put up with it.  There is no united voice
of protest - they are united only in their apathy and indifference - DOES

The well off do not want to help the poorer as in this caste system they are
one step above them.  " I'm alright, fuck you".  The middle class are happy
where they are not wanting to be like the toffee nosed upper class and
feeling superior to the working class trash.  The poor are happy being the
salt of the earth.  Yeah they are tough and streetwise.  Just listen to 90%
of skinhead songs or THUG LIFE rappers.

Drugs Of Youth

The mentality of being hard also applies to kids doing drugs.  Many see
themselves as more mature than the geeks who don't do drugs.  Many boast and
glorify about how much they can do or the different types of drugs they've
done.  They do not realize that those who said "no" to drugs are the tougher
ones, not giving in to peer pressure.

Many people have addictive personalities and gateway drugs like alcohol and
cigarettes lead on to harder stuff, destroying lives.

>From EXITSTENTIALISM we learn that life is shit and suffering.  When you
accept this you can live for now.  I do not need any religious promise of an
afterlife or reincarnation.  I will live then die and it is up to me what
memory people have of me.

If you need religion as a crutch to help you live and not be scared of death,
or you need a master supreme being fine.  You have the right.  Leave me to
beleive in ME.

I have heard many goof arguments against the existence of gods, however, I
know nothing exists and if there was a creator it would have been a sadistic
bastard.  Again from Rudimentary Peni " God is nothing more that an obsessive
lie.  Most people are successfully conned into beleiving the myth that the
christian religion is still a valid belief.  The reason that the mindless
masses respect this irrational crap is that they are indocrinated from birth.
 The kids are fooled onto thinking that there must be at least an element of
truth in the shit with which they are presented - a line of thought which
will remain with most of them for the rest of their lives".

MEAT MEANS MURDER 

My family and I do not eat anything that had a heartbeat.  We have a choice
to live without killing.  We are not vegans this is our choice and we are
comfortable with it.  You can carry on forever one's own boycott of this and
that.  For example Del Monte exploits people in Latin american countries so
don't buy their products.  I used to grow my own vegetables and keep bees.  I
also worked on farms and saw the terrible conditions animals were kept in and
I have seen abbatoirs and meat factories.

There are many environmental and moral issues associated with eating meat.
 For example rain forests are cut down to make way for beef cattle and grain
is fed to farm animals which could be fed to starving people in the third
world.

People are so hypocritical hiding behind false names like pork, ham, beef,
veal etc.

Am I Punk Yet?

Many years ago The Tubes had a song "I Was A Punk Before You Were A Punk".
It doesn't matter if a band is old school or new school.  Any alternative
record is better than pop music.  The first punk bands I heard Sham 69 with
"Hurry Up Harry"  and Peter and The Test Tube Babies "Two Pints Of Lager".  So
ngs about going down the pub and played on the BBC "Top Of The Pops".  Hardly
revolutionary but this was the window into the world of punk for me and
others.  Who cares if Green Day are "platinum punks" and Chumbawumba have
signed to EMI.  Some kids will like the music and progress onto bigger and
better things.

When I first heard Discharge I thought it was horrible noise, but the rest is
history.
