Daniel slammed hard on the brakes, attempting to make a swerve from hitting
her, and yet he was too late.  He felt her hit the ground with a sickening
cracking sound, like she had broken a bone.  Daniel leaped from his car to see
her lying unconscious in the middle of the road.  Oh my god thought Daniel
frantically and knelt at her side, daring not to move her.  When he had
finally regained his senses, he realized who she was and backed away with
shock and fear.  " Meredith," he whispered.
	Her eyes slid open, deep and clear, like pools of blue moonlight.  Daniel
almost stopped breathing.  " Meredith, what is this?  What's going on?"
	Meredith kept staring at him.  " Daniel, I've got to tell you something, and
it's true, no matter if you believe me or not.  I am, immortal, but I am dead,
and it's another world I come from, between here and a small moon far from
here.  That necklace, it's...  Daniel, it's not too late.  You've got to," she
suddenly stopped talking as her body faded.  Daniel watched, horrified and
shocked until she disappeared into the blue veil of the night.
	" How do I get this damn thing off?!" Daniel shouted into the night.  But
there was no reply.
