Millennium Concert Review

On June 5 1999 I went to the BSB concert in the Amsterdam ArenA and everything went wrong!!! I hated that day; it was the worst in my life! I'll tell you all about it. We went there by train and it went really well. We had great places (we could see them sooooooooooo good), but when the supportacts (Tatyana Ali and some Dutch stars: E-life & Fabienne) were getting really late and the BSB also, we had to leave earlier, so we missed half of the concert and a lot of songs. When we got outside (after I'll Never Break Your Heart started) we didn't know where to go, cuz there was nothing that said in what direction we had to go to get to the station, so we asked this guy where we had to go, so we went there. Then we arrived at a metro station!!! My mom completely panicked and we had to run all the way back to the ArenA and at that moment our train left (we knew when it would leave) and we asked again, so we ran like hell. But now we arrived again somewhere else at another metro station, so we took the metro. We had to get out of it at the first stop, but other people said we had to go until the end. So we went all to the end. We got out and got on a train and...(this was so bad) a lot of BSB fans were in the same train as us, so we could've watched the whole concert!!! Then we left and we could see the ArenA; it was right next to the rails! So we were really pissed, mad etc. (Oh, we also called my dad right after we left the ArenA that he had to pick us up at another railway station than where we thought at first.) Then we got in Utrecht and the train that we were on wouldn't go any further, but at the last moment they decided to let it go on, because of the large crowd. Then they had to attach another train to it, because a lot of people had to stand and it was already full and the people just kept coming. So that train had a delay of about 1 hour. Then we got where we had to be and where my dad was supposed to be, but as you might guess, he wasn't there. So I called home and he was at home (it's a 45 min. drive from home to Eindhoven (where he had to pick us up))!!! He said he'd been waiting about 1,5 hours, but he didn't know we didn't get to catch all those trains. So we had to wait another 45 min. until my dad arrived. So instead of arriving at 0:30 at night, we arrived at 3:30 at night. So all of this was Amsterdam's fault, cuz you dunno where to go and the railway station's, cuz they didn't put in extra trains. (that's what they did last year in Arnhem and everything went well then, we didn't miss anything) So we paid about 300 guilders for only 1 hour and 15 minutes to see the BSB!!! This was definitely the worst day of my life. And...(there's more) I forgot to take my camera with me and we couldn't take any bottles with drinks inside...(we only had bottles with drinks with us) Well, there was a good thing: I heard my fave songs and I jumped and danced, so we did have a bit of fun.

I'm telling you: next time I'm taking the bus, but my mom can't stay in a bus or car for a long time, so my sister and I will go alone. And hopefully then everything will go alright. But I have to say: those guys can put up a show that you won't forget for the rest of your life! Here's the setlist: Larger Than Life, Get Down, The One, As Long As You Love Me, Don't Wanna Lose You Now, Quit Playing Games (at the end they were flying above the audience and the song speeded up), Don't Want You Back, The Perfect Fan, Back To Your Heart, Everybody, We've Got It Goin' On, That's The Way I Like It, I'll Never Break Your Heart, No One Else Comes Close, All I Have To Give, Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely, It's Gotta Be You, I Want It That Way

The BSB decided on June 6 to give another concert because it went so well! On July 26. Yesterday I heard there would be ANOTHER concert on July 27 and...I'm going there (by bus)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I think I'm gonna take my camera with me now and no more bottles.
